Pain in the Neck!

Kinked my neck while sleeping; how fun!

I should have realized I needed a new pillow, it's so easy to
sleep the life out of them lol. I'm always throwing my neck out,
maybe I need to see a Physio! Hmm I've been resting all morning,
and the heating pad is helping. Ohh and thank God for Tiger Balm!

Someone thought it would be funny to snatch some pictures
of me while I was sleeping. Can you spot my Squirrel bathrobe?

Update: After plenty of rest and plenty of tea, all is fine again

Krista @ Krista's Kravings mentioned that her favourtie
Clif Bar is Maple Nut. It seems like many bloggers agree!!!
I HAD to try one for myself... to see what all the fuss is about...

IT WAS SCRUMPTIOUS! although a bit on the sweet side...

The crazy thing was I thought I was eating Maple Walnut Ice Cream
It brought back many yummy memories of ol' family dessert nights :)

Now that I have you craving ice cream, i'll balance it out with my lunch

picked up some take-out food from Green Cuisine; Pintos Refritos with
salsa and steamed vegetables. I added lot's of spices on top for the fun of it

I was STARVING! by the time I go home...

I made a quick snack; Peanut butter on bread with sliced bananas

After a quick nap I recharged with a vegetable n' eggs
stir-fry, using broccoli, spinach, red onions, and mustard

My day ended on a positive note: While I was downtown grabbing lunch,
I popped into Value Village and quickly scanned the used book section again

That's when I saw this...

Question: Do you have certain
muscles that you're prone to pulling?

  1. So far I haven't had any problems with blogger, but I guess this comment will be a test run?

You are so adorable! Who took pictures of you sleeping? Your mom? My sister took some pictures of me when I was sleeping once, because I sleep in a really weird sprawled out position. People make fun of me.

I have tried clif bars before..a really long time ago...and I also find them sweet. Way too sweet for me, actually. I would like to try making my own version with less sugar, because just one bite makes me feel off. And they're kind of small for what they are, but that doesn't bother me so much.

I think I have that book! Its either the Eat Clean Diet original, or the cookbook...I forget...but the recipes are pretty good.

As for areas that are prone to pulling...I have bad knees that are constantly injured. It can ruin long runs for me. So sad.
    xoxo

  3. I think google was having problems today...i had trouble logging into my gmail for a bit. Maybe it carried over to blogger? Hmmm.

You are such a cute sleeper lol. I sometimes get kinks in my necks from sleeping. Or random arm pain from sleeping on my arm that carries over through the day. It's weird.

  4. Awww, you're such a lil cutie asleep ;-)

Sorry about your neck! You DEF need a new pillow. I have neck issues...One of my close friends is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and he recommends rolling a small towel into your pillow case to place right under your neck.

    Yummy eats!

  6. I often have problems commenting on blogger accounts...once I finish my comment all these random windows keep opening up and I have to restart the computer. So annoying but it doesn't always happen so I can't figure it out?

I am prone to sore knees but nothing pulled, knock on wood. I probably just jinxed myself!

Thanks for letting me know that Time Traveler's Wife was a good movie. The book is kind of confusing and I have a feeling I am never going to finish it!!

  8. Maple nut looks yummy. I had Carrot Cake for the first time yesterday, it was pretty good. I think my favorite might be the chocolate brownie though. My stash is quickly depleting though... only seven more clif bars for six months in africa! YIPES! only extremely special occasions now...

  10. I love clif bars - You have to try the blueberry crisp!

I strained my calf muscles the other day and I've been in pain for like 4 days now. Taught me not to cardio box with no sneakers on!

  11. Omigosh. I have the same problem with pulling the muscles in my neck, though it seems to only happen if I sleep on my stomach or back.

That being the case, I try to sleep on my sides most of the time, but sometimes I just can't get comfy that way, and that's when the problems come in.

I hate waking up with a crinked neck, though... makes the whole day a little less enjoyable.

  12. Blogger was so pissing me off for the past two days!

I'm so sorry about your neck. I used to pull mine ALL the time until I went to physical therapy. Much better now. Yay for heating pads and Tiger Balm!

    Rest up, dear!

  14. Kinks in the neck are awful, I hope yours feels better!

If I don't warm my legs ups before lifting, sometimes my hamstrings feel like they are 'pulled'..just a reminder to make sure I properly warm up!

  19. Ouch on the kinked neck. That's never good. I love Clif Bars, but I haven't tried that flavor. Sounds like it'd be way too sweet. Hope you're having a good week so far!

  20. Hope your neck gets to feeling better soon! I love love love the hearty goodness of clif bars. It amazes me that I have never tried that flavor. Up til now i've been enjoying carrot cake. But it sometimes gets too sweet.

  21. Sorry about your neck! That is always so frustrating. My neck and my hamstring are the places that I seem to always hurt. I hope it feels better soon! Get some rest and take care of yourself.

  22. I don't know why but your blog hasn't been popping up in my google reader so I am so behind on 2-3 posts lady. I am sorry! I do have problems commenting on blogger blogs because they never recognize my wordpress id...so annoying!

Oh, and yes, I too have many mornings where I wake up with a sore neck. For some reason, I tend to get rid of pillows throughout the night...so weird. I also have pulled my left hamstring a lot!

The eats look delicious and I seriously want to come over and go to that green cuisine place with you...mmm, always sounds and looks great!
