Apple Crumble Muffin

The very first bakery muffin I ever had was from a small franchise called mmmuffins
They had a kiosk in the mall food court, but after mall renovations, were replaced by a
pizza stall. I remember my Mom would buy a Cinnamon Apple Crumble Muffin and
share it with me. I was probably 6 or 7 at the time. I can still taste it, man I miss that place!

Cascadia Bakery started carrying muffins made with spelt flour, which
is much easier to digest than wheat of course. I was so excited when I saw
this flavor; Cascadia Apple Crumble Spelt Muffin from Lifestyle Markets

It's dense, moist, and delicately sweet

With the right amount of apple bits and crumbly sugar-oat topping

I can't stress enough how important it is to bake muffins with a big muffin top!

Question: Do you remember the first time you
went to a bakery? Can you recall what you ate?

  1. I don't know that I remember a bakery experience, but I have fond memories of getting apple fritters as a kid. They were HUGE (I'm guessing because I was small) and so sweet and delicious! These muffins look amazing! I love the huge muffin top!

  2. the only time I like muffin tops are when they are on actual muffins ;)
i remember mmmmmuffins!! i loved they're chocolate chip ones, but my mum would never buy them for me because then it was more of a ''cupcake'' rather than a muffin. but sometimes at birthday parties we'd get mini mmmmuffins! :D

    ...now i want a mmmmmmuffin!!!!

  6. You have an awesome memory!! I definitely don't remember my first muffin, but if I had to guess, it probably came from Dunkin' Donuts (though I'm not sure why I would have turned down a donut!). You are such a muffin girl!! :)

  7. Everything you post from that bakery looks amazing! I honestly didn't really go to bakeries when I was younger because of my allergies. Everything I ate was made in Mom's Bakery. ;)

  15. Mmmm, looks nice! :D

I can't remember my first bakery experience. I was too small. But I guess I would simply have a white roll which were my favorites when I was small. (Now not anymore.)

  16. I can't remember my first time going to a bakery. Growing up, my mom baked everything ... so it had to have been when I was older.
