My mother sends me packages every once in a while. The first one since I moved to Japan contained only a few bottles of my favorite shampoo because Japanese people obviously don't need any curl-friendly shampoos... Other than that she mainly sends me sweets I miss and I love her for that :) No matter how far, mothers always do their best to make us happy.

I've been craving salmon so much lately :)

This is seriously one of my top favorite meals ever. I'm always crazy excited to see salmon simply prepared on restaurant menus. SO good.

Kelsey, I like you lost my mom and am with her only in spirit on this day. I was out yesterday and saw all the dads with their kids picking out gifts. It made my heart skip a beat. I admire my mother's strength. She fought an illness for over 20 years and two years ago decided her body couldn't do anymore. She was always kind, honest and beautiful on the inside and out!
I actually went to the store today and bought her a pink and yellow tulip and sent them up to the skys with balloons today. I figured it was a way i could show my love and continued admiration for her from here on earth.
You're in my thoughts for the rest of the day.

Aww, this is the loveliest post ever! I'm also missing my mom, but at least I have phoned with her today. :)

I love my mom, and I admire how perceptive and how wise she is. She has always supported me and backed me up, even against everybody else. Without her, I wouldn't have become the person I have become.

I can't wait for the BBQ season to start!!!! I love grilled chicken with tomatoes and things like that. Everything tastes better when it comes from the grill! :D

I love how you made those burgers gluten-free ... Mostly, burger recipes call for flour or soaked bread roll for thickening, but apparently that's not necessary! :D
