Healthy Veggie Pizza


Below I posted an easy 10-Step Recipe so you can make this at home!


Healthy Veggie Pizza

Step 1: spray a little oil on a baking pan, I used Pam Olive Oil Spray


Step 2: (optional) sprinkle 2 tsp cornmeal or Bob's 
Red Mill Hot Cereal on the pan to help prevent sticking


Step 3: mix dry ingredients together in a bowl: 
1/3 cup flour, 1/8 cup oat bran or rice bran, 2 tsp
nutritional yeast1 tsp basil, 1/2 tsp oregano, 1/2 tsp thyme, 
1/2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp baking soda, pinch of salt


Step 4: mix wet ingredients together in a bowl:
 1/2 head cauliflower pureed in a food processor,
 1/2 cup fat free refried beans1/4 cup egg whites, 
1/5 cup water, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar


Step 5: mix wet and dry ingredients together and scoop
the batter onto baking pan; Gently spread with a spatula


Step 6: Bake @ 400 Fahrenheit for 20-25 minutes


Step 7: make the sauce by combining 1/3 cup pasta sauce or
 tomato sauce, 1/8 cup salsa and a pinch of brown sugar or stevia


Step 8: spread sauce on baked pizza crust and top with your favorite 
veggies... like spinach, mushrooms, green peppers and sliced red onions


Step 9: sprinkle on 1/3 cup light shredded mozarella cheese 
or Daiya Vegan Cheese, I used Kraft Light 4 Cheese Italiano


Step 10: pop the pizza back in the oven and continue baking 
for 10-15 minutes or so until the cheese begins to lightly brown


salivate, slice and serve this sucker :)

  6. I looks delicious Kelsey! I used pintos before similarly, but cooked them like english muffins. I love the chewy interior beans give bread. This looks soo good!

    Just one thing, it is better to use olive oil, than a fat free substitute. It is pure chemical.

  22. You, my dear, are quite the genius culinary mixologist! I love that you use cauliflower, refried beans, nooch, and even oat bran (or rice bran---goodness I really need to find my little GF-friendly self some ASAP!) in a pizza crust. I definitely would not have thought of that combination, but I'm so glad you did; it sounds like the perfect hearty mixture. I guess I will be getting my pizza stone out very, very soon. ;)

  24. yaaaay for this recipe! I have seen a crust made of only cauliflower and egg before--but yours is so much better than that! I am going to try to veganize this!
    Also..if I was using frozen cauliflower, how much would you say you used?
