Francine's Finest Chocolate & Pumpkin Seed Butter
Bars. These Gluten Free Raw
You can credit most of the 15g of protein to Raw Quinoa Powder!
I still argue that they are the best bars I have ever eaten
They are also the prettiest too... check out the
family of pumpkin seeds
nesting together on top :)
Next up, more Kabocha Squash and Stir-Fries!
I love how i've traded my sweet potato addiction with a kabocha squash addiction
I cubed and boiled 1 medium Kabocha Squash with Frozen Edamame Beans in 1
pot, while stir-frying Green Beans, Beet Greens, Spinach, and Onions in another
Garlic Powder
, Thai Seasoning
, and Black Pepper
I got lazy at Dinner, so I used up some of the stir-fry leftovers to make a wrap
Squash and accompanying greens, and Eden Organic Aduki Beans
Folded and baked in the oven for 5 minutes at
385 Fahrenheit, until lightly brown and crispy
Just the way I like my burrito wraps
This way the tortilla becomes crunchy and flaky,
yet the inside remains soft and the cheese, melty!
DROOL
Question: Are there any foods you felt you were
"addicted" to that you have tried to overcome, only to find
you've swapped your addiction for another/different food?
I felt like I was "addicted" to peanut butter for a while-I was eating waaay too much of it. I gave it up for lent, so it was better when I started eating it again. Moderation is key. However, I did use coconut butter and unsweetened chocolate as a substitute....just not the same, though.
ReplyDeleteI think I'm addicted to bananas-I have at least one a day in one form or another. I also feel I have an addiction to nut-butters.
ReplyDeleteStory of my life...one week to the next I am all about one thing and then next week another.
ReplyDeleteKabocha is delicious though. I want to make a stir fry like that with some leftovers i have!! And the wrap too. Awesome because I needed ideas :)
ReplyDeleteThat bar looks so good. I love kabocha, seeing you make delicious stuff with ot really make some want to get some.
ReplyDeleteI love how appetizing your burrito wraps always look. The crispy exterior, and ooey gooey interior - delicious!
ReplyDeleteI'll admit, I'm a full on cheese addict and peanut butter addict. The day is not complete without a little bit of each. I crave them if I don't have them.
I used to be addicted to yogurt + granola for breakfast. Then once I started blogging I tried oatmeal and I became addicted to it too!
ReplyDeleteThis post is making me want kabocha! But the only place I can find it is an hour away... oh well, it's worth the trip!
that burrito looks so good! I love the crispy idea!!
ReplyDeleteHope you are well love!! xoxo <3 miss u!
I used to be addicted to Dr. Pepper slurpees and Whopper Juniors when I was in high school!!! Yikes!! I gave them both up, and now think that they are pretty disgusting.
ReplyDeleteLike you...I use to eat at least one sweet potato every day. I have recently been obsessed with corn. So good right now! After a long day at work, it was refreshing to come and visit your blog. I hope you are having a good start to your week. Much love and many hugs from Austin! Thank you for sharing your creative concoctions with me.
