Avocado Pear Salmon Sandwich on Black Olive Bread

Building Sandwiches, it's my new hobby. This is my newest creation I had for
Lunch today: Avocado Pear Salmon Sandwich on Black Olive Bread

We start off with 2 slices of Black Olive Bread that I posted about here

The Black Olives add such a nice and natural saltiness to the loaf

Spread some mashed Avocado on top

Add a few Spinach leaves and thin sliced Red Pear

The other side consists of Wild Pink Salmon, Red Onion, and Black Pepper

I squeezed some Brown Mustard over the Salmon, for an extra kick

I find the Brown Mustard has a bit of a smoky
taste which works great for this type of Sandwich

Now all that's left is slapping both sides together

Voila!

All the delicious layers stacked one-by-one

With a bit of the Avocado peeking through underneath

"Don't you stick your pear tongue out at me!"

Mid-noshing through my Sandwich

Question: Do you like "hidden surprises" in your bread?
(ie. Olives, dried fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, chocolate etc.)

  1. This looks great!! I think i would sub the salmon for turkey, though. Is it bad that I love salmon but only in its pure, grilled or baked form? Salmon in any other way weirds me out.

  10. You really got that pear sliced thinly! When I first saw the picture, I thought it was turkey deli meat. I love sandwiches...yesterday I was out of bread, so I used blueberry waffles instead. Ummmm...yeah. Not the best idea I've ever had.
