You're Welcome Tummy!

Note to Self: Don't leave bloggers in suspense, they don't like it!

Haha I like suprises though, so too bad. But wait no more! I will reveal what came in the mail, and trust me, I think it was worth the wait...

The object in question is...

PatsyPie Cookies!!!

I was not expecting Patsy's generosity! She contacted me after viewing my Gluten Free Guide where I recommended PatsyPie cookies. I've had the chocolate chip one's which were my favorite! I was so happy to try these new ones; Peanut Butter, Raisin, and Lemon Shortbread!

...So let's get snacking, shall we?

First up, Peanut Butter!

Positive: Amazing texture, very moist with crumbly bits of peanut butter. Extremely hearty and filling. Flavor was a smooth humble sweetness that was creamy and satisfying.

Negative: Can be too crumbly, but thats not necessarily a negative!

4/5

Next up, Raisin!

Positive: Everything! Was not expecting to love the Raisin one so much! Tastes exactly like old fashioned raisin cookies; something that my grandma would bake. They melted in my mouth and the raisins had a caramel taste. Also had a bit of a pecan pie taste...

Negative: That I didn't have 10 bags of these!

5/5

Last up, Lemon Shortbread!

Positive: Again, really moist and fluffy. The lemon scent was divine.

Negative: I found the flavor a bit too over powering for my taste, very citrus-y. It was also tart which is good if you like that, otherwise I would have liked a less aromatic taste.

3/5

Nutritional Information... not too bad...

100% Gluten-free.
Contains eggs, and some contain butter.

Question: What are your favorite cookie flavors?

Wow, what a lovely surprise! Who wouldn't want to get yummy cookies "like grandma would bake" on their doorstep?! I just wish they were vegan. Sadface. More for you, then, I guess ;).

I totally agree with you on the pig lab dissection. I'm so happy to hear I'm not alone on my views. It was so sad for me to see some of the piggies today; one was so little, just like a baby. It broke my heart to see people handling them so harshly last night at the review sesh. Although I didn't do any dissecting, I tried to be respectful while studying. It's the least I can do!

Have a lovely day!

Oh look at you! How lucky!

Considering I'm a baking machine, I think there's no greater dessert than a classic chocolate chip cookie... mmmmm...

Enjoy the cookies, my dear!

Mmmm coooookies. The PB + Raisin ones would probably be my favorite too.

My favorite kind of cookie is plain old chocolate chip, snicker doodle, or oatmeal raisin. can't decide!

Would you believe that I was actually wondering if you were going to post what you got in that package? How's that for random thoughts popping into your head? ;)

I've seen these in the store and thought about picking them up, but I usually prefer on doing my own baking when it comes to cookies; nothing seems to match a warm cookie straight out of the oven. That being said, my favorite cookie is chocolate chip oatmeal probably because it reminds me of my childhood and baking with my mom.

That question might be too hard for me, but to pick one at random from my top 10 - toffee crunch bars from Starbucks.

Danielle (Coffee Run) said... [reply]

ohh I didn't guess that was in the package! My favorite cookie flavor is oatmeal chocolate chip...but really, any cookie is good :D

I use to say that cookies were my favorite food. I think they still might be in the top 3. I adore a nice gooey chocolate chip cookie the most. But I love any cookie: shortbread, oatmeal, stuffed, lemon, sugar, etc.
These cookies you have here look great, though. I need to try them.

White Chocolate Macadamia Nut. Preferably the ones from Subway.

However those lemon cookies you speak of sound pretty tasty. I'm a fan of strong borderline-overpowering lemon.

From one gluten-free person to another I am quite jealous of your cookies. Especially the peanut butter! Oh how I miss those. Its been a while for sure.

I used to love chocolate chip but I haven't been able to find a decent gluten-free substitute. I'm still on the look out though!

There's a cookie my parents pick up sometimes when I go to visit - it's a chocolate walnut cookie that is chewy and thick and delicious. I also loved (as a kid) my great-grandmother's neighbor's oatmeal raisin cookies. We'd get to eat them with vanilla ice cream. Divine.

Oooh that's definitely an exciting package!! Anytime someone wants to send ME a box of cookies, I will happily accept. ;)

My favorite flavor is actually a cookie that a local cafe makes. It's called Garbage and is an enormous oatmeal cookie packed with raisins, dark chocolate chunks, white chocolate chunks and a bunch of other goodies. So so good (and so so bad for you!)

LOVE you negative comment on the raisin ones! LOL! I often feel that way about tasty food, too. What a great brand to be able to try. My son's friend has aspergers and is on a corn/dairy/gluten free diet which is perfect for him. His Mom makes alot of food from scratch and I bet cookies like these would be an appreciated break!!
