Stir Fry and Apple Crumble

When it's me and my man cooking, dessert always follows dinner

We started with an Asian Stir Fry

We cooked the vegetables in Sweet and Sour
Sauce with Chicken on a bed of Jasmine Rice

We both ate a couple bowls each, fighting over who gets the most veggies

Then came dessert, Homemade Apple Crumble

It's the easiest thing to make. You just slice an apple and stick it in a
baking dish, and throw it in the oven at 350 Fahrenheit for 10-15 minutes

Then add a crumble of oats, brown sugar, a little margarine
and cinnamon, placing back in the oven for 15-20 minutes

Canada Day Calgary

Here's a post that's long overdue...

I've been so busy with work that it's taken me so long to catch up, so here
are some photos I took July 1st of the Canada Day celebrations in Calgary

Plenty of music for all ages

"Get Your Turban On!" ... "Come experience the true essence of the turban!"

An unusual station that allows people to
experience what it's like to wear a turban

People getting their turban on haha

We finished the day by hitting up Tim Horton's
for a Large No Sugar Latte and a Large Iced Coffee

Question: How did you celebrate
Canada Day or The Fourth of July?

Birthday Boy Cupcakes

I've been in Vancouver for the past week enjoying the chance to spend time
with my oldest brother, who in fact, just celebrated his 26th Birthday yesterday

His girlfriend baked and decorated these cute little cupcakes for him

Vanilla Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting and Rainbow Sprinkles

I haven't made cupcakes in a long time, so when I get back home I
should rummage through my recipes and whip something up for you guys!

Uh oh! Casper, their cat, spotted the cupcakes!

"Sniff Sniff" Purr

I didn't take any photos of my travels, but you can check back
here to see what what I got up to the last time I was in Vancouver
