Falling into Autumn

More than any season (even summer), I find I've been eating hot dogs like
crazy this Fall. Maybe it's just my way of preserving the summer nostalgia

Gluten free cheddar hot dogs with sauerkraut and the works, with a
side of sweet potato fries, maple baked beans, and crunchy kale salad

And I can't forget the pumpkin pie that has been disappearing quickly around here

And as lame as I feel this post is, it's my first in awhile. I've got a new Nikon
camera I want to start using with a micro lens and all, so you'll be seeing
more of that to come. I'm slowly starting to feel ready to open up more
about my mental health issues, my struggles, and my recovery

Question: What do you want to know about Snacking Squirrel.
Do you have any questions about me and my journey you'd love
for me to talk candidly about? Nothing is off limits

Love you all and miss you all immensely!

Friday Foods and Smoking Cessation

I don't know about you, but pink smoothies just make me feel happy :)

Strawberry Protein Smoothie

Shakeology Vanilla Protein Powder

Nutritional Information

Now that I have pink liquid radiating through my body, I can take on my day!

A delicious and nutritious breakfast

Lunch was also fairly pink with a take-out meal box from Planet Organic Market

Quinoa Salad with Nuts and Cranberries

"Hail To The Kale" Vegan Salad

I ate about half of it because the portions were HUGE

Now to sidetrack myself to a different subject...Quitting smoking.
I have been smoke free for over a few months now and have been
mostly using an e-cigarette/vaporizor to do so. But I ordered these
Habitrol patches a couple days ago because they helped in the past

Last summer when I used to smoke. Yes my gasp explains it
all!!! I am so glad to be smoking-free and my lungs are much
happier too. It's such a terrible habit and one thats hard to break

So far, Habitrol patches have been helping me
continue stay tobacco-free, so thats good news :)

My dinner

Oven Roasted Sweet Potato with Chicken Breast and Cooked Frozen Spinach

Balanced and filling

And that was my day of eats! Quite yummy overall :)

Questions: Have you ever smoked or know someone who
did? If you quit, what worked for you or for those you love?

Small Simple Suppers and Giveaway Reminder

I've been keeping my dinners simple lately...

Balancing with protein carbs and lack thereof fat
which I'm making up for with fish oil supplements

I'm finding that eating larger meals during the day and keeping
dinner small is giving me more energy. Remember THIS when I used to eat
pretty much nothing but sweet potatoes!? (To be precise, I ate SEVEN a day)

Baked Sweet Potato, Roasted Chicken Breast, and Steamed Kale
and Spinach with Cayenne Pepper is all I need to keep me satisfied

I've come a long way to finding what works for me,
so small simple suppers is what I'm sticking to for now

My beautiful Camille who I am missing greatly wants to remind you
that today is the last day to enter my Rice Ramen Noodle Giveaway

Questions: Do you like eating big or small
dinners? What's your largest meal of the day?
