Back when I still ate wheat, you may recall me enjoying
my fair share of Wild Salmon Wraps from Planet Organic
Wild Skinless Boneless Pink Salmon from Raincoast Trading
But I wanted to make not only a gluten-free version, but a less
expensive alternative as well. I also found a yummy Canola Mayo
from Spectrum Naturals which I was excited to try out!
Wild Salmon Salad
1 can wild salmon
1 Tbsp mayonnaise
1 Tbsp capers
1 stalk chopped celery
1 stalk chopped green onion
1/8 cup chopped onion
1/2 diced tomato (optional)
Pinch salt and pepper
Simply mix everything together in a bowl. The recipe isn't identical to
the original one, but fairly similar. I didn't have red onions unfortunately :(
Spread 3/4 of the salad on a tortilla, I used a brown rice of course...
Then fold into the desired wrap shape and enjoy!
It makes a great portable lunch box meal too!
Basically showing you every angle haha, I can't help myself ;)
Tip: Leave out the tomato to taste more authentic to Planet Organic's
Tomorrow i'm posting Gluten Free Muffins!
Stay tuned to see which type I make, based
on your ridiculously yummy suggestions!

Gluten free muffins would be fantastic! Yumm :) cant wait
I LOVE putting capers in my seafood salads! And brown rice tortillas are quickly becoming my preferred wrap of choice!
never thought of doing this before, but it actually looks amazing. I am definitely going to give this a try!
xo
I LOVE wraps! This looks realy good, might try it for dinner tonight!
I found a guy that has a ton of good recipes too, check it out! http://www.draxe.com
I love capers! I never know where to find them, though :(
I want one of these wraps right now! This would be so great to take to school/work tomorrow. I may have to run to Whole Foods to buy a can. Thanks for sharing such a delicious meal. I hope you are having a great hump-day!
This looks great. Love the addition of capers! Do you enjoy those brown rice wraps?
Looks good Kelsey! Love those brown rice wraps! So chewy!
Salmon and capers make such a beautiful marriage, don't they? That wrap looks great!
Yum! I haven't really liked cold salmon and tuna salads in the past but am definitely starting to get used to them. :)
YUM! I love the addition of the capers :)
I haven't made salmon salad in a while! I'll have to make it soon! I make my salmon salad very similar to yours, but I have never added tomatoes. I bet it adds a nice freshness!
I am obsessed with capers!! I think I have some lurking somewhere... I hope :)
That's the brand of canned salmon I buy too! I always get the boneless skinless stuff, even though the regular kind is cheaper because the bones totally creep me out!!!
Wow, does that ever look good :) I am looking for a good fake mayo - how was it?!
Looks yuum Kels. I tried capers once and I just could not get into them...may need to give them another go.
Hmmm...wonder if that salmon would do good in your breakfast egg wraps...
However...not sure how I feel about fish and cheese...never tried it though...just seems "off" or something.
THank you for your recent comment on my blog. It meant more than I can tell..
Oh.my.gosh. THAT LOOKS AMAZING! And that's saying a lot because I don't like tomatoes at all.
Looks delicious! Gotta love those money shots.
Ahhh, can't wait to see the new muffins! They are always AMAZING!
Looks delicious!! I love that it has capers in it! :)
Mmmmm, I love everything in that (except capers - I just can't do capers)!
love whipping up a quick & easy tuna salad! I use plain greek yogurt instead of mayo & its delish!
Ok that looks amazing! I love salmon and brown rice tortillas are bomb!
mmm looks good!
btw, how do you not get your wraps to crack? do you store them in the freezer or fridge? mine usually crack unless i grill them in my george foreman.
occasionally ill get one that is a perfect wrap... but i never know what causes it. got the secret?
xo
That looks like a yummy wrap! I'm just curious, though... Where's the extra 1/4 of the salad? Loll, anyway, I can't wait for the muffin recipe :D
My fiance eats tuna in a bowl almost every day after the gym-def does NOT look like yours!!!! I need to show him this and tell him to step up his game!
Rain Coast Trading is hands down the BEST for tuna and salmon!!!
A great job you have already done. I’m really delighted to see your amazing work.
