Last Night Waffles

Nothing like getting the late-night munchies for Buttered Belgium Waffles

2 Belgium Waffles smothered in "Better Than
Butter" Spread and Sugar-Free Maple Syrup

I gobbled these down just as fast as I could capture the photos ;)

Question: What's your favorite late-
night treat when you have the munchies?

Buttered Waffles and Maple Syrup

Wow, long time no talk! I've missed you all like crazy

Going to school full-time has absorbed every minute
of my life. All I do is wake up, eat, go to school, eat, spend
all day in classes, come home, do assignments, write essays,
take notes, study for exams, eat, shower, sleep, and repeat.

I'm lucky if I find time to go for a quick jog or, as I am doing now, blogging!

Although it would've been nice to take photos of our Thanksgiving
dinner, I chose to post pictures of my ridiculously yummy breakfast

PB&J Banana Buckwheat Waffles

Waffles are so much more than dough-based cakes that are generally eaten for breakfast

The bread of the waffle is soft and fluffy, the edges slightly toasted and crisp. Their square nooks and crannies are vehicles for holding the delicious toppings that will soon be spread

Butter, maple syrup, jam, peanut butter, fruit and berries,
chocolate, cheese, eggs, meat... there's no shortage of toppings

Nature's Path Organic Wild Berry Buckwheat Waffles

Wheat free and gluten free

Ingredients: Water, brown rice flour, potato starch, yellow corn flour,
soy oil, tapioca starch, granulated sugar cane juice, buckwheat flour,
blueberry pieces, rice flour, palm kernel oil, pectin, natural flavour, potato
flour, baking powder, soy lecithin, natural blueberry flavour and sea salt

Nutrition Facts (1 Waffle): 95 calories, 3.5g fat, 16.5g carbs, 2.5g sugar, 1g protein

How the waffles look on the box...

And how the waffles look inside

They look even better than the picture on the box!

Time to pop a waffle in the toaster and grab my scrumptious toppings...

Homemade Berry Jam that my boss made

I believe it's made with blackberries, raspberries and blueberries

She warned the texture was more like a smoothie

It tasted unbelievable! I find some jams to be too astringent and robustly sweet, or
on the flip side, too bitter/tart. This jam was just the right balance, sweet and smooth

First I spread Kraft Natural Chunky Peanut Butter on top of the toasted waffle

Then a spoonful of the homemade jam went on

Paired with a sliced banana

Sure this tastes just as good on a thick and fresh slice of bread, but only
a waffle can collect pools of peanut butter and jam in its square grooves

My favourite way to enjoy waffles is traditionally made with
butter and maple syrup, although most waffles are served
with whipped butter or whipped cream and berry syrup compote

Supposedly the ultimate waffle combo is waffles,
peanut butter, fried chicken and bacon! Mmmmm

Drumstick Ice Cream McFlurry

There are a few food habits vices I have that most people do not know
about me, and although I am not very proud of them, I accept them haha

One of these vices would be my obsessive compulsive fascination with
trying every new McDonalds McFlurry that they feature per specific season

So when I saw that McDonalds brought out a new Nestle Drumstick
McFlurry, I didn't hesitate to convince my boyfriend to buy me one :)

My mom always bought a box of Nestle Drumsticks to keep in the freezer for
when we came home from an exhausting basketball practice or swim meet; The
perfect combination of vanilla ice cream covered in chocolate and peanuts and
scooped into a crunchy chocolate-lined waffle cone. The best part was at the end,
there'd be almost an inch of solid chocolate at the bottom of the cone, at the point

The Drumstick McFlurry is made with their usual ice cream base, chunks of
the Nestle Drumstick and some extra chocolate syrup poured on top. Delicious!!!

ice cream treats to eat growing up?
