Easter Crafts and Treats

Happy Easter! I decided to compile a post of some of my favortie Easter
things. The first is this Shredded Wheat Bird's Nest with Cadbury Mini Eggs

Toilet Paper Roll Bunnies for a last-minute easy decoration

Mini Egg Scones for when you need a pick-me-up at breakfast

You can find the template here to make them

Easter Bunny Craft

Toilet Paper Roll Easter Bunnies

This is such an easy craft to make and takes no time at all. They make great
decorations around the house and can be stuffed with candies and chocolate too!

I simply used an old toilet paper roll and covered it in pink craft
paper. I used 2 large googly eyes and a jeweled button nose. The
whiskers were made out of ribbon and the feet out of cotton balls.
The ears were also craft paper with inner ears cut from a paper doily

How cute is this little bunny rabbit!?!

Bunny Love

It's obviously not Easter, so why is Mr. Bunny the main feature of today's post?

Remember when I told you here that I've been getting over a bad cold/flu recently?

Well my incredibly sweet and thoughtful boyfriend came home from
work the other evening with a special furry little friend to cheer me up :)

Little did he know that my childhood stuffed animal back
home on the island looks eerily similar to this plush rabbit

"I am Bashful Bunny. Please look after me."

Even Camille fell in love with our new guest,
gingerly sniffing, kissing, and checking him out

And if that wasn't generous enough, Reece went out and picked a few wild
flowers which he stole from someone's garden to cheer me up even more

Gorgeous pink, red and peach-coloured flowers

Needless to say his plan worked; I spent
the rest of the day smiling from ear to ear :)

Scones are typically triangular shaped, but in British Columbia, and
many parts of Canada, our scones are circular (a.k.a. "The Lazy Scone")

Feel free to adjust the ingredients to suit specific dietary needs and allergies

...or 11 if you are  impatiently hungry
