Cookie Dough Balls

These aren't any old Cookie Dough Balls! For quite some time now,
i've been wanting to make some of Katie's delicious "Fudge Babies"

She recently posted 2 separate creations; Peanut Butter Balls and Gingerbread Balls. Because I couldn't decide which ones to make, I told her I would try combining them!

Peanut Butter Gingerbread
Cookie Dough Balls

1/2 cup peanut butter
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 Tbsp molasses
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Optional:
1 Tbsp maca powder
1/8 tsp cardamom

Directions:
1. Simply mix everything together in a bowl
2. Scoop a tablespoon or more of dough out with a spoon
3. Use your hands to roll and form into "balls"
4. Plate, serve, and eat... or refrigerate for later

I said to Katie, "They smell like a gingerbread man bathing in a jar of peanut butter"

You get around 6 servings per recipe. There are only
5 in these pictures because I was impatiently hungry, oops!

With Cookie Dough Balls, anything goes! Pick and choose different nuts,
seeds, butters, dried fruits and sweeteners, superfoods, powders, grains,
and even chocolate or coconut shreds! YUM :)

OH MY GOOODNESS GRACIOUS!!!

These look so good! I like that you used PB and you didn't grind your own nuts -- my magic bullet isn't strong enough for that :( But I can mix PB!

They are so pretty! I like to play with my food so I should make these :)

AAHHH mazing! I made almond butter dough balls the other day. I don't even roll mine like that though. i scoop them with the mini cookie scooper so they are round. Today I am working on a PB chocolate ball recipe. So glad to see them all over the blog world. They are such an amazing snack!!!!!

Hope all is well with you, lovely :-)

Oh my goodness! How creative of you with all the modifications! These looks too good. Like I might start eating them and not be able to stop. If I end up making them, ( which I really want to do) I'll have to gather an army of friends to help me out with the consuming of them=) Great pics!

I need to try those! What a great idea to combine the 2 flavors. I never would have thought to combine peanut butter and gingerbread. ;)

Anonymous said... [reply]

So good! I love that you combined the flavors :)

Erica said... [reply]

YUM- love nut butter, love gingerbread...sounds good combined to be! I've never made raw cookie dough balls- gotta get on this.

Peanut butter AND gingerbread? Wow, I wish it were the weekend already so I could make these !!!

Anonymous said... [reply]

I lovee this. You can also add walnuts and maple syrup or agave to make it "Maple PB Cookie Dough Balls" :)

Anonymous said... [reply]

....Or even replace walnut butter with the PB and make it "Maple-Walnut Cookie Dough Balls" ;)

Those look so good!! From the first time I saw Fudge Babies, I said I would make them but I still haven't yet :(

I think I got a little indecisive too what with all the variations, but that's a great idea combining them like that!

Sara @ Nourish and Flourish said... [reply]

I've wanted to try making fudge babies for some time too! I love your spin on them! The combination of peanut butter and gingerbread sounds pretty tasty.

I'm looking at your page and my fiance thought I was reviewing mine and he goes "wait-where are those? I didn't see you make those! Why didn't you tell me? I want one!" haha

Aylin @ Glow Kitchen said... [reply]

Those look delicious!!! I love molasses, so something tells me I couldn't eat just one....

Tine said... [reply]

Oh god, great balls!
I'm interested in using molasses.
A lot of bloggers use that. I don't even know how it tastes. Have to try it one day!

Krista said... [reply]

YUM! And I like that these have no dates in them. Not that I'm against dates b/c I love them, but my processor does not!

Beth @ Beth's Journey to Thin said... [reply]

Wow those look SO good Kelsey! I still have yet to make these, but they sound so delicious!

Courtney (Pancakes and Postcards) said... [reply]

I can't believe I still haven't made these yet. I'm scared because I'm pretty sure once I do, it's OVER. Haha. But I'll get around to it soon...

Anonymous said... [reply]

Oh my! These are so wholesome! I will definitely be making these soon!
