Earth Walk

Long post today!

It's been an incredibly busy day. Got lot's done but most
importantly had lot's of fun. And I took plenty of pictures

Lorna Vanderhaeghe AdrenaTea Cranberry Bliss

On busy days I like to help my adrenals out a bit. I used to get
dizzy upon standing, but since drinking this tea it went away!

Whole spelt flour bread from Wildfire Bakery

Delicious Organic Raw Hemp Nut Butter from New World Natural Foods

Toasted the bread in the oven before topping with the Hemp Butter
and garnishing with  some goji berries and bee pollenGorgeous, no?

I can't believe I only recently found out bee pollen is a complete
protein source packed with vitamin and minerals. Who'da thunk?

Okay, and as promised yesterday...

EARTH WALK

Peace, Justice, Environmental Protection

There was even a FAIRY, yes, wearing knee pads of course!

And the police were out to make sure all went smooth. It was fun to
watch; lot's of costumes, makeup, musicians, jugglers, and mini floats

Got me some Starbucks after the festivities

And Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast from my favorite health food store, Lifestyle Markets

I was happy to have my favorite kale salad after
that last one I had here which was a disaster lol

I stopped in at the Downtown Greater Victoria Public Library afterwards to look for
some books.. didn't find anything I wanted to take out, so I took some pictures instead :)

Sitting outside of the library

Hehe. It's my grandpa and his dog! No
seriously, it is! Medusa turned him into stone

New flavor of Sharkies!!! Watermelon Scream, and
that's exactly what my tummy did in excitement!

Sharkies gave me energy to get some grocery shopping done

My grocery loot. I also bought lot's of fresh greens as well. Oh and in those two bags on
the right are my ingredients to make Katie's PIZZERTS seen here... and yes those are
dark chocolate chips in one of the bags! Can't wait to try out the recipe (probably monday)

Popped some sweet potatoes into the oven.
Yummy with basil, oregano, and cayenne on top!

Laid my shirt out for tomorrow's Times Colonist 10km run! I like the colors.. a little
bright.. but I think it'll be cool looking like a sea of blue people running through the streets!

Hope you liked today's post :)

No question of the day, just a hope that everyone is enjoying
their weekends and spending it with those they love; pets included!

Hey beautiful girl,
Thanks for the info on andrenatea...I feel like I could sure use some calming and stress relief lately. I'm such a tea fanatic...my cupboards are stocked with it and I'm constantly buying more.
I love your superfood toast! I've never tried bee pollen. I've heard of the health benefits. Then someone told me it was actually sperm...which is kind of strange. But thats okay, nothing wrong with that...what does it taste like though?
I love all your pictures from the earth walk and the library!
Question: what are you using the dulse for? I have some dulse and other sea veggies, and looking for new ways to use them!
Hope you're having a lovely weekend xo <3

Glad you had a fun day! :)

HOW do you have the self-control to go into a library and not check anything out?? My mom won't let me go pick anything up for her because she knows I'll come back with an additional twenty books. ;)

I've never seen hemp nut butter! I'm definitely a little jealous. They don't have that here!

Good luck at your race tomorrow :)

Planet organic sounds interesting! I was in Victoria once before, but saw none of that stuff.

The hemp seed butter is good -- I have "manitoba harvest" brand, but yours looks yum too.

Good luck on with today.
Fuel up and eat up girl. You cannot live on kale alone :)

What a gorgeous library! I want to go there! I've been meaning to try Katie's pizzert too, you'll definitely have to post your pics.

I hope the race went well!! I want a recap because I'm running a 10K soon :)

thanks for the sweet birthday wishes, girlie! being wished happy birthday by others really makes my birthday special.
the earth walk looks like it was lots of fun. i love all the different kids of people: diversity, baby! what does raw hemp butter taste like? recently i've wanted to try it since i had a gluten free bar with hemp seeds in it that was AMAZING. i love raw almond butter so raw hemp butter seems up my alley. i've heard it tastes "green". do you find this to be true?

have a lovely day!
