Lady Marmalade

It was pretty dreary outside, so my Mom and I decided that we
should go for Lunch at our favourite restaurant, Lady Marmalade

Lady Marmalade is a funky, down-to-earth, trendy restaurant. They
recently expanded their Victoria B.C. location and opened up in Toronto

All day Breakfast & Lunch

When you go inside, the atmosphere is quite retro,
from vintage sofas to mismatched tables and chairs

I like to think of it as "Grandma-got-stuck-in-the-70's" Chic

Lady Marmalade also features a collection of local artists
and paintings which they have hanging on the walls

But the best thing about Lady Marmalade is their food!

The menu caters to all Foodies, Carnivores, Vegetarians, and Vegans

I was in the mood for a Salad; "The Big Green Salad"
with Sliced Chicken Breast (add-on)

My Mom got her usual; "The Simple Breakfast"...

Two Poached Eggs, Oven Crisp Potatoes, Buttered Wild Fire Organic Bread, a Side
Salad with Soya-Ginger Dressing, and Cayenne (or Paprika?) garnished on the side

And sorry my Salad with Chicken isn't as cool looking as my
Moms haha, but it was very delicious! There were lots of Greens
and Vegetables with Sunflower Seeds and Soya-Ginger Dressing

I'll be back for Breakfast here soon for one of their Specials;
Maple Banana Nut French Toast made with Spelt Bread!!!

Cute cafe! Love the retro decor. The food looks so fresh and delicious. Wish we had quaint little places like that nearby.

I've walked by that place so many times but I never ventured in. Maybe I'll give it a try sometime! My favourite place downtown is Hope Key. :)

I love all the vintage stuff in there. Can you get them to come decorate my room? haha.

That looks like a very healthy salad!!!

You do a great job of getting your fruits and veggies in!

I'm totally sold on Lady Marmalade! And it would only be a 3 hour drive for me to get there :)

...I've been known to drive that far for food though (and possibly Ikea!).

Thanks for sharing the info and pics on such a great looking place!

What a lovely restaurant! :D I think your salad looks very good! Chicken salad like that is maybe the thing I order the most when eating out. It's something I almost never make at home, although it's rather easy. But I really love it.

Nothing better than an all day lunch I say! Both meals look delicious and it's such a nice thought to think of you and your mom out for a meal in such a quaint little place. I'll have to plan a visit to BC one day soon.

It's all your fault that my tummy is rumbling right now! The food looked great. I would probably have ordered the salad but secretly longed for your Mum's breakfast instead :-) I loved laid back cafes like that place.
