Close To My Heart

April is Cancer Awareness Month in Canada

My favourite (post-run-sweaty) t-shirt, "Close to my heart"

I honestly can't remember where I got this, but I love to wear it when I exercise

It always motivates me

For my Dad, Aunt Hilda, Uncle Jack, Danni and Grandpa Taylor

...and for everyone around the world who are bravely fighting, healing,
witnessing, educating, researching and curing, all in the name of cancer

My Strawberry and Prune Oatmeal didn't turn out
"pink" as planned, but I feel it still goes with the theme :)

If there is someone special that you would like to honour,
whose lives have been affected by cancer, feel free to leave
a comment, mention, message, prayer etc.

Great shirt girl. My mom is currently battling breast cancer, and my grandma survived colon cancer.

Cancer has killed many of my loved ones and is attacking others. This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing awareness.

My mom had breast cancer, and it came back a few years later. She's well again now, so happy! Love her so much! :)

What a sweet post! My mom's close friend just passed away from breast cancer this year so I'll be thinking of her this month. <3

Nice shirt! I've had friends whose parents have had cancer, but no direct relatives. I consider myself very blessed.

Strawberries and prunes sounds like a really yummy combo.

My mom's father died of cancer...I really hope it doesn't affect my mom in anyway.
I truly pray for everyone fighting against this terrible illness and wish our positive energy will be delivered and help them heal.

Very thoughtful post :-)

Many women in my husband's family have battled and beat breast cancer. They are strong women.

My dad lost his mom (my grandmother) to breast cancer when he was just 10 years old. So tragic. I wish I could have met her.

My mom is a thyroid cancer survivor. She had to have her thyroid taken out WHILE she was pregnant with my little brother. I'm so glad she's doing so well now!
