Warrior Pose

After picking myself up from yesterday, I awoke feeling slightly refreshed. Thank you individually to everyone who wrote such beautiful comments. I'll give you guys a virtual hug :)

I'm glad you liked my pajamas! I think we need to have a day where everyone puts on their best pj's and post a picture of them to their blog; that'd be really cute!

... haha but anyways ...

How many like these Tazo Teas from Starbuck's? I don't mind the Zen green tea. I like it in the morning since the spearmint is easy on the tummy.

Another protein bar; Chocolate & Peanut butter. Similar to the one I posted yesterday, but this is heartier and jam packed with more nutrition. I love the little coconut flecks :)

Grabbed a banana for a snackie.. good serotonin booster!

For lunch I decided to swap stir-fries for salads! I included my 'Simple Spring Dressing' recipe down below.  In my salad I used a spring mix and spinach greens combination, 3/4 cup chickpeas, 1/2 cup chopped onion, and 1 grilled chicken breast (shredded).

     RECIPE: Simple Spring Dressing

                1 tbsp  apple cider vinegar
             1 tbsp  lemon juice
             2 tbsp  mustard
             1/2 tsp  dill
                1/2 tsp  tumeric
             1/2 tsp  cayenne powder
             2-4 cloves  garlic
             1-2 tbsp  dried seaweed (wakame)
             Dash      black pepper

Made some more oven roasted sweet potatoes and yams! With my basic tomato sauce and garlic dip. Boy do I need to take it easy on the garlic haha... just realized this :P

I did some yoga this afternoon to wind down the day and help me get to my "calm place." Oh look how sunny it is! :D

Question: What's your favorite yoga pose and why?

That salad looks delicious. Love the yoga pictures, too. I'm just getting into yoga and I'm not very flexible so my favorite poses are the simpler ones like forward fold. I love yoga for the stretching and the calmness that I get.

Yes, likin' the Tazo teas, especially the organic chai. It's one of the best chai teas I've found.

I don't have a favorite pose, but I love starting yoga with 12-16 Sun Salutations. They warm up my whole body. I've gotten into routines before when I do a series of them upon waking up, which always feel good, cause normally I'm not a morning exerciser.

Your salad looks delicious! I just recently started incorporating more yoga, so I don't have a favorite pose but I am coming to really appreciate yoga and what it does for the body.

Your pictures of your poses are wonderful!

Helloo, totally down for a blog pajama day! That would be awesome.

I don't do yoga yet so I don't know the poses.. except for the tree pose. If that's what it's called. I can do that one. :)

I love yoga! So hard to pick just one favorite! Downdog is great because it gives me such a good calf stretch I can't get with any other stretch!

All your food looks great there! The raw protein bar looks good, and it's gluten free :)

All of your eats look soooo good (especially those taters!)

My favorite yoga pose would have to be frog foot pose because stretching my hip feels really good :D

I've totally got to do the pajama thing :D

Your salad dressing looks wonderful! I'm always looking for new dressings, so I've got to add this to my list. My favorite yoga post is warrior, for sure. I've got strong legs and weak arms, so that post makes me feel strong :)

Warrior three is my favorite! Sometimes I have trouble with balance poses. I found Leeann Carey has a free yoga video that talks about a Sitting Bone/Heel Connection in standing poses that is really helpful. Thought your readers would like it: http://planetyoga.com/yoga-blogs/index.php/free-yoga-video-kps-sitting-boneheel-connection/
