Under the Weather

Thanks for the amazing posts you guys wrote yesterday! I was really suprised many of you haven't seen 'mushroom-shaped' muffins before (gasp). Maybe it's a Canadian way of baking muffins? In Victoria at least people love H-U-G-E muffin tops. When they rise they spill over the top of the pan so much that they create that mushroom shape. They're cute tho huh? And the edges make them fun to eat :)

This morning I felt really off... REALLY off. I won't get into details but I take different medicines for a mood related disorder I have. I noticed recently that I was having unusual side effects and today I woke up feeling like a door slammed in my face. I wondered how I would be able to go to the party tonight, or even how to get the energy to post. I know you guys are really supportive so I don't feel I need to put on a happy face just because. I realize there are many bloggers out there that deal with mood disorders and who struggle to balance their lives and happiness. It can be really isolating but writing is immensely therapeutic. I hope I can find out what's going on so I can get back on track!

Such a simple healthy breakfast. Oven toasted Brown Rice Bread
with caramelized onions, spinach, and an organic poached egg.
Mixed in a little salsa and garnished with a dash of black pepper.

I like to put the egg on top and *pop* it... then watch the little lava mess :)

before lunch; The Cranberry/Raisin flavour

Even prettier inside than the Chocolate/Peanut

Bought another Split Pea Soup. It was like a warm hug for
my insides :) Hi-Five to all the split pea fanatics out there!

The weather was kind enough to let me use the BBQ tonight.
I made me some delicious Bison Burgers with tomato sauce

Excuse the monkey and banana-jamas! I just finished taking a shower haha

I added some lettuce to the bun, topped with a pickle, and served some
wild prawns on the side. I'm not a seafood lover, but i'll try anything once :)

So I went to see my friend today and let her know I wasen't in the mood to stay out all night dancing. I feel really terrible because I promised her i'd be there; my body is telling me otherwise and my head is so far in the clouds. I'm sure we've all been in situations where we agreed to something rather impulsively but in the end things didnt work out or we really didn't feel well. I think there's a guilt to it that's hard to forgive yourself for. At the same time you can't always fake it and force yourself to do something you know you're not up for, right?

I hope you find out what is going on!

I was on meds that made me lose all emotion suddenly. I was emotionless when I graduated from college and even was surprised with a new car. I had to get rid of that med pronto. (may have not helped that my sister told me my parents were getting me a car anyways - I am not good with faking like i didn't know haha)

Love the pjs!! I used to have peep pjs...they were awesome!

feel better soon

Hopefully you can get your mind back on track soon, it really sucks having to walk around with a dark cloud hanging over your head. Maybe rest and doing relaxing things will help get you back on track?

Lol, I love your pajams!

I'm a split pea soup lover! It's one of my favorite kinds - so hearty and filling and wintry.

Feel better!

I love your PJs!! :D

I think it was a good idea to stay in and rest. It's hard to "back out" of something you've agreed to, but you need to look out for yourself first. It's been a tough day for you, and I'm sure your friend understood. I think it's good to be genuine and not fake it or force yourself, because then you become something you're not.

I hope you feel better today!

Sorry that you're not feeling the best, hun, but it's good that you honored your body and didn't push yourself to go dancing; you did the right thing.

And I love the fact that you barbecue in monkey and banana PJ's. Too cute.

First off, I love your PJs! So cute lol

I'm sorry you felt off and I hope you can figure out what's going on. I have some hormone issues so I can sort of relate to the up/down mood. You should never feel obligated to post :)

No worries- I've had my fair share of off days for sure. Feel better soon! :)

Jealous of the bbq... I'm not allowed to have a grill at my complex. :( What is that about?!?!
