YUM!! I've never baked with figs, but these look WONDERFUL.
I just read your fig harvesting post...You're so silly! :-p
YUM!!!! Those look absolutely delightful!
How did I NOT guess some kind of muffin hybrid?! haha. Those look like perfection! I have never had figs before, and I am now tempted to get some on my grocery trip.
You are a baked goods genius Kelsey! Saving this recipe!!
I JUST stocked up on figs at Whole Foods yesterday! This is perfect, thank you girl!!
Loving those scuffins Kelsey! I don't think I'd need any of the butters to enjoy those beauties. And how gorgeous are those figs!? I only recently got to try some figs this year for the first time and it was love at first bite. I'm sure it'd be likewise with your scuffins too. They look and sound wonderful! Thanks for sharing the recipe girl! Have yourself a beautiful weekend!
Very creative! I love figs. I wish that I could find fresh one though.
Have a great weekend:)
These look so amazing Kelsey! They look like these big fat giant cookies that my mom used to love...I'm sure she would adore these! Maybe I can pick up the ingredients somewhere and try to make them for her. Thanks for the idea and recipe. I think that figs are almost too pretty to eat! I'm excited to get my hands on some.
xoxo
YUM!!! Those look absolutely fabulous!!!!!! I will definitely have to get some figs soon!!!!!
yumm!!! i love figs!!! i used to eat toast with thin fig slices and greek yogurt on top it was delicious!!
I would eat your scuffins with a cup of hot tea and melted butter :P
I love how simple your steps are - mix one, mix the other, and mix together. Hope your wheat eating is going well - I assume you're still right with it, since you used whole wheat flour in these scuffins.
They look amazing. I would love to have some for breakfast with almond milk. Yum yum
When I say this, I honestly gasped outloud and said oh. my. gosh.
Kelsey, those look SO STINKIN GOOD! Help a sister out here....
could I just use 2 cups gluten free flour instead of the bran/whole wheat?
What would you suggest I substitute the yogurt for as I can't eat it? Perhaps I should invest in some coconut milk yogurt. Yes... that seems like a good idea!
oh my, girlfriend, you are a culinary genius! i gotta get cooking so i can make these for snack asap! you are simply wonderful and inspiring! love alllll your recipes <3 your beautiful inside and out
Ashley
Ooo these look fantastic. Dense and hearty... just how I like em :) I'm not the biggest fan of figs, nor do I have any fresh ones available, so I might have to try your recipe with a different fruit. Strawberries? Apples? Plums? I'll have to see what's on sale in the stores :)
uh, YUM! These look amazing, and I think I would sell my...left arm for one :P Seriously, girl, I'm dying to try out this recipe and feel substituting something for the fresh figs would be totally missing the whole point :(
So thats what you made with your figs! They look so delicious!
And I love your plate -- thats from Pier 1, right? I think they're called Elizabeth? I worked for Pier 1 for over 6 years and I lived and breathed dishes the whole time! :)
I need to get my hands on some figs--they are all over the blogosphere! Scuffins sound like a grand idea--I need to make some.
These look reaaally good! I've only ever had figs in a walnut and fig loaf and never used them in anything else, but it looks like i'm missing out!
Yum! I love the name...scuffin..I like the way it sounds when you say it out loud :-)

youre a genius! You should start a SCUFFIN makin business. To good!!!
Hey...I posted a fig today too! Not a recipe, just a fig, but still...
Scuffin! Much better than "muffone" or "mone." That wouldn't sound good at all.
Love them!
These sound spectacular, Kelsey! Now I just need to find me some fresh figs!
this is definitely a recipe i must steal. and if a few chocolate chips land in the mix, then so be it :)
These look amazing! I am making it my mission to remember to buy figs next time I'm at the grocery store so that I can make these!
Wow, they look so good. I don't eat figs cause I'm scared of them, don't know why, maybe because of a fairy tale from childhood where someone ate figs and his nose became very very long. And they are still somehow mysterious and creepy to me, strange, I know! But maybe I can try your recipe with some kind of berries because I love them. Btw your pink nails look very pretty too :)
WOW! Those look so amazing.
I've never had figs, these look phenomenal. Will add that to my recipe book :)
Between your "Scuffins" and my "Mookies" (muffin crossed with a cookie)...honey, we've got ourselves a million-dollar bakery right there!! :)

Figs scare me a bit but I may have to face my fig-phobia because these look THAT good. Scuffin is such a cute name too.
Is it weird that I noticed and like your nail polish? Cute color!
Those scuffins look delish! I don't see fresh figs around here very much, but I'm sure they make an excellent addition to baked goods. :-)

I want a fig tree!!! And a scuffin! I knew you would make some variety of a muffin with those figs. I am also a muffin lover, and partial to scones, so naturally I'll have to try to make scuffins. xoxo
