Autumn Walk, Pumpkin Patch and Seasonal Squash

How could a person not fall in love with Autumn with scenery like this!

Pictures from my walk on the Galloping Goose Trail

The vibrant colours of Fall: Yellow, Orange, Green and Brown

Autumn is what makes me appreciate living in Victoria

Even the sun peeked its head out from behind the clouds :)

A few minutes away, just off the trail, I headed
down to my favourite local market, The Root Cellar

Peninsula Pumpkin Punkin' Patch

I actually just realized right now it says Punkin' Patch

I guess they are Punk Pumpkins... chilling on Hay Bales

Decorative Gourds and Baby Hay Bales

Blue Pumpkin Squash!?!

Definitely have to give this new crop a try

Butternut Squash

Assorted Winter Squash

Obviously you know which Squash I bought...

Kabocha Squash (Japanese Pumpkin)

I immediately cut and roasted some up in the oven, for a snack

Did I tell you already how much I love Autumn/Fall?

Autumn is so beautiful, especially in your area. We don't have much of a fall here in Florida. Thankfully we're heading up to Indianna and Pennsylvania next month, so I hope to see a bit more!

Galloping goose? That's quite a name!

You live in such a gorgeous area!

They grow blue pumpkins at the farm where I worked this summer and my boss said they're even tastier than regular pumpkins. I really want to try one now!

beautiful fall photos! this is the best time of the year. here in texas, today was the first day that really felt like autumn, and i had to get out and take a walk and enjoy it.

i don't think i've had kabocha squash -- i'll have to try it this fall.

I miss shopping at the Root Cellar - I would go every Saturday morning to stock up on my fruits and veg. It was a great weekend ritual.

And I think those blue pumpkins were the kind that were popular in Australia - when they talked about pumpkin, it always looked like that.
