When Life Hands You Lemons...

...you trade them in for Limes!

And that's just what I did today :) I turned an unfortunate event into a bunch of amazing ones. Your comments gave me a much needed boost this morning!!! I was pleasantly surprised at the movie recommendations... I feel like i'm surrounded by movie buffs with 5 star taste. Although there were a few I already saw (and loved too) ... I made a list of the movies I haven't seen yet, and will get to them ASAP:

Ps. Yuki I always enjoy your comments, they brighten my day; your blogger account is set to private but do you have an email addy? xox

Here's my Day in Pictures...

Squirrel Mail arrived, with two envelopes for me!

Wanna see an X-RAY of my whacked out chompers? Sorry if any of you were in the middle of eating...

So the good news is I have a new dentist!!! He was so good about my situation and promises to get them out much sooner than the other dentist. The bad news is I have to take antibiotics because I have an infection that is spreading down my jaw and side of my neck. I'm going to the store to pick up some probiotics since I know how important they're going to be in fighting this bacteria.

The other one was a surprise letter from my oldest brother Lee, from Vancouver. I was so excited to open it up and see what was lurking inside!

STARBUCKS gift card! I am so in love with the presentation too! A card from every country... so freaking cute :)

$50.00 balance... oOoOo are you kidding me? Lee this is insane!!! Thank you so much!!! Love you big brother <3

and if you thought my day couldn't get any better.. how about a surprise that will last the weekend....

That's right! I got tickets for the Sidney Health Fair tomorrow! I'm taking my momma with me, we're gonna have a blast! But before you get too excited thinking about all the cool products I will take pictures of... remember that this is a little town we're talking about, and our health fairs are quite low-budget. What I mean is, this won't even compare to the big Health Expo that a lot of you bloggers we're able to get tickets too. But i'll take what I can, and enjoy every bit of it!

i hope this random luck will rub off on each of you this weekend :)

Sweet of your brother!! :)

As for the antibiotics, it does kind of suck, but it really helps it feel better. I was on them before I had my extraction, and it was amazing what a huge difference it made.

I'm glad you've got a new dentist! That would've been horrible to wait so long to get your teeth out.

Wow what a great brother you have!!! Such a nice surprise!!! Have a great time at the health fair :)

So glad you had fun mail to brighten up your cloudy day. Have fun at the health fair, and hope the antibiotics kick in quickly to help you start feeling better.

Me too...send your good vibes this way! I hope your mouth feels better soon! As for the movies...definitely see Little Miss Sunshine (so good), Almost Famous (awesome) and The Invention of Lying! I haven't seen the rest...but now I feel like I should!

Oh you'll definitely enjoy Little Miss Sunshine! It's a favorite of mine!

And how sweet is your brother? Awesome surprise!

You are so sweet! I hope your random luck rubs off too...I sure could use some.
I was so sorry to hear about your teeth, but I'm happy that you are getting it all taken care of sooner than you thought. For now, just do what you need to do to ease the pain. And definitely get plenty of sleep- I know firsthand that sleep deprivation can make you a very unpleasant person to be around. Nobody likes me these days because my lack of sleep has turned me into a monster. I'm not mean or anything, just boring and barely functional. Its starting to get on peoples nerves lol.
I hope you feel better and get plenty of rest tonight xoxo

I don't even know how to read an x-ray but your tooth looks like it's in pain!! I'm glad you found a new dentist that's treating you well :)

p.s. I don't think those pics are gross at all! Actually, it reminded me that I used to save all my baby teeth when I was younger...not THAT'S gross.

Enjoy the expo tomorrow!

Seeing dentists suck...my wisdom tooth kinda hurts right now, but I am still delaying my visit...I haven't visited in 9 years, actually.

That is SUPER cool of your bro! And $50, too! The most I've received in $20!! Enjoy your cup of jo's! :D

Joanne said... [reply]

Oh babe I'm so sorry to hear about your throat/jaw infection! you are right to take probiotics though..you don't want other other bugs to make their way into your system because of the antibiotics! The only movie I've seen on that list is Little Miss Sunshine and yes I love it! I am going to have to watch those other ones...apparently I'm movie-deprived as well!

Your brother sounds awesome! Have fun at the expo!

A ticket to a health fair AND $50 worth of free coffee? Can I have your older brother? I don't have one of my own, and I've always wanted one :)

Have fun at the fair, hun, and enjoy sipping on delicious coffee :) Hope your teeth start to feel better soon, and good call with the probiotics.

Little Miss Sunshine will have you SCREAMING at the end....OMG....SOOOOO funny!!
Funny people was just ok, but worth watching. Not as great as I thought but it's a combo of funny/ depressing/ entertaining.
Almost Famous is a classic, I remember seeing that in high school, always loved it.
never saw any of the rest.

Sorry about your mouth...went through this a few weeks ago! Definitely load up on probiotics and Kombucha!

Feel better and have a great weekend!!

What great gifts too lady, you are definitely loved!

Feel better!

aww what a sweet gift from your brother!

I hope you get those wisdom teeth out soon, the situation sounds horribly nasty. :( Our body needs to figure out that we don't need those chompers anymore! Or at least give us more room for them.. but I'm not sure if I want a bigger jaw. :P

Do you mind watching sad movies? If not, then the movies Cold Mountain and also Tristen & Isolde are really good! Total tearjerkers but very well made and acted.

Have fun at the fair! I would love to go to something like that one day. :)

Tooth problems are the worst, ugh! Starbucks GCs are one of my fav gifts. Make sure you register it - you get free addition of syrups and soy milk if you do so! Cant wait to see photos from the health expo, too.

You totally cracked me up with the Homer Simpson thing.. I definitely googled a picture of him and looked at it side by side with the wrap but just couldn't see it! Hahaha thank you for the laugh though!
