Peanut Butter Bliss Bars

Peanut Butter Bliss Bars
created by Snacking Squirrel

2 cups oats
2 cups puffed rice
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped peanuts
1/2 teaspoon guar gum
1/2 teaspoon salt

Step A: Mix dry ingredients together in a bowl

1.5 cups peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup apple sauce
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup coconut

Step B: Mix wet ingredients together in a separate bowl

Adam's Crunchy Peanut Butter

Step C: Combine wet and dry ingredients
together (works best if you use your hands)

Important: Save a little less than half of this
mixture for later to be used as your crumble topping

Step D: Press the mix firmly into a greased baking pan

Step E: Bake in a preheated oven at 325 F for 20 minutes

Let crust cool as you prepare the filling...

1/4 cup soy butter or margarine
2 tablespoons soy milk

Step F: Melt in a pot over medium-low heat and stir

Step G: Pour over cooled crust and spread with a spatula

Step H: While the chocolate is setting, place the remaining oat crumble on non-
stick baking paper before placing back into the oven @ 325 F for 10-20 minutes

Step I: Press baked crumble on top, refrigerate, cut, and eat!

My mom asked me to make her something for a luncheon
at her workplace. She didn't realize i'd happily hide away
in my kitchen all day and bake up something so creative

I almost had a heart-attack when I tried one. It's one of those sit-
down-and-let-your-brain-chemicals-bubble kind of bars!

These look so good Kelsey! I love your decadent desserts...you are awesome in that department (and every other department for that matter).
I wish I were so creative and talented in the kitchen but my stuff never turns out quite right. That's why I keep it usually keep it simple. This doesn't look overly complicated though. Maybe I could try it. Love this recipe! Thanks for sharing.

YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU are a genius. I bet this would taste real good with ANY nut butter too. Oh man. Too bad I don't have much of a decadent-dessert sweet tooth, but I can definitely appreciate picture-candy. :-) And, of course, your culinary genius.

Your Mom's lucky luncheon mates are going to SWOOOON. :-)

YUMMY BRAIN CHEMICALS!

XO Aletheia
