Kelsey these look GOOD -- they remind me of a dessert my mom would make for us as kids: chocolate pudding with crushed oreos mixed in and gummy worms on top -- its called dirt dessert or something like that
Omigosh those look absolutely delightful! I would love to make them, but I would need to buy multiple ingredients and I'm moving into my sorority into a week! Gahhhhh. I'm so sad :(
These look delicious!! yumyumyum
These are looking mighty yummy right about now. Liked you cooking instructions: mix wet, mix dry, mix together. That's really all you need to say, teehee. Loved that you added bananas. I'd imagine these to be quite moist and delicious :-P
These look amazing! I didn't know that pre-heating makes them rise higher, good to know :)
Your muffins ALWAYS look so good! Chocolate mud...I am sold on this one!
my oh my - how wonderful! Thankyou so much for sharing your delightful creations!
You and your muffins ;-) I wonder how these would be with white chocolate chips....
oh girl these look like a chocoholics version of heaven!
My jaw literally dropped when I saw these! Gosh, Kelsey! You are the muffin queen!
Note to self: buy whole grain flour, carob powder, and a muffin pan.
Oh my gosh these look perfect! What's the difference between cocoa and carob powder? Do you think I can just use cocoa powder instead of carob powder?
Those look like heaven on a plate. I bet they are delicous with some GREEN GINGER TEA, yea!!
okay...i'm not even a chocolate fiend and i was practically salivating at the title and first picture combined. they look great! that and the combo of choco and banana is never bad, so this is probably a chocolate muffin i'd enjoy ;)
I showed these to my hubby and his eyes got really big. I guess that means he wants me to make them ;)
Oh my goodness - these deserve some sort of award - like "most mouth-watering food photo ever"
Please send some of those muffins my way! :)
Holy cow - these look awesome!!! I would run and make these immediately, but we still have some frozen scuffins and half of an apple cobbler left to eat!
Thank you for the gluten free option - I have a feeling you thought of me! :)
Oh wow, I NEED to make these. I think they're exactly what I'll make with my need-to-do-something-with bananas! Yay! Thanks :)
Sues
If only I could reach through the screen and grab one............. 8-)
Is this your own recipe?
I would love to dive in to a mudpile. I mean mud muffin!!!!! :)
Can I please come over to your house for a cup of tea and one of these delicious muffins? You did such a great job with your photographs too...I wanted to jump right in!
To say these look incredible would be SUCH an understatement! You are the muffin queen!
Mmm I've never had a mud muffin, but I looove mud pie, so I'm certain that these would tickle my tastebuds! Thanks for including the GF modifications! xoxo
Goodness!! Can I just sink my teeth into one right now?!
All I can say is....wow.
these look scrumptious!!! Can I have one???? :)
Wow! It's so cool to see you baking muffins as opposed to just buying them (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with the beautiful GF ones that you usually have!). I rarely make my own chocolate stuff because they never seem to turn out quite right.. but these look so rich and hearty :P
<3 Tat
how did you know that i was having huge PMS induced chocolate cravings today?!?!?! :)
Those look like some of the most delicious muffins I have ever seen!!! I love the look of the colour and texture!
That's the best lookin' "mud" I've ever seeeeeeen ;-)

These looks absolutely amazing girl :) My birthday is in just a few days and I am thinking these might have to be made to celebrate!! Hehe!
OH EM GEE.
Those muffins look DELICIOUS! I'll definitely have to try them out soon.
Thank you for the muffin-rising baking tip as well! I had no idea pre-heating the oven to a high temperature before baking made that much of a difference!
girl, it isn't even fair that you posted these! they look way to good to NOT make them :)
Those look UH-mazing!
Man, Kelsey, the muffins you showcase on your blog always have me DROOLING!! Chocolate, oh my goodness! I will definitely be making these and sprinking and much chocolate as I can possibly fit on top. You are 100% the muffin queen!
Thank you for NOT using choc. whey protein powder! I will be saving this one for sure!
Oh! THOSE are the sort o' muffins that are just asking for their tops to be picked off. And they have bananas in them. I think I love you, is that too forward of me??
I might just have to hide three bananas somewhere where they can ripen in peace without being eaten...
Did I mention that I think I love you??
Um, those are definitely insulin worthy!
Hope you have a great weekend Kelsey!
You're seriously killing me. These look SOOOO good!
Mmmm.. mud muffins. Those look amazing even if they do look like mud. ;)
they look so decadent for such few ingredients! impressive!
Did you ever eat those dirt dessert cups as a kid? I used to LOVE those. I bet they are even better like this, in muffin form. GLORIOUS.
Geez, Kelsey! Those look fantastic! And I like that the recipe makes a nice big batch. I never see the point in heating the oven for 6 muffins... ;)
These muffins look so good! I love love love anything chocolatey, and I'm sure these would not disappoint. Thanks for adding a vegan option, too!
YUM those muffins look heavenly! Do you think they would work with all cocoa powder instead of carob? I need to try these out :)
oh my word!!! Those look absolutely wonderful!!!!! One more recipe to try out SOON!!!!
Kelsey -- these look heavenly!! My mouth is watering! :) This is definitely a recipe I need to come back to asap!
Holly molly lady those look so good.
Oh Kelsey, that is a cruel thing to post when I have no bananas or soy yogurt! I'm salivating and there is nothing I can do about it! Hehe. :P
i don't even know why you BUY muffins when you are so talented!
i'm totally transforming this into a "breakfast bread" for my mom this week!
