Squirrel Goes to School: Part 2

This is going to be a lame second part follow up
but any update is a good one I guess!

Yoga training went really well yesterday! Most of the students are in their 40's and i'm the youngest in the group. My teachers are incredible and so far the homework seems pretty straightforward. The classes are about 3.5 hours and 1.5 of that is spent doing Asanas (postures) It's nice having a yoga class and training mixed in one :)

I would write a better review but I need to work on my Project Food Blog Post and finish some yoga reading material.. oh and practice my Belly Breath exercises hehe

Spelt Blueberry Banana Oat Muffin from Cascadia Bakery

These totally look like a knock-off of the one's I baked
a couple days ago right... hmmm how ironic...haha

Question 1: Are you participating in the
Project Food Blog Competition? If so, are you
doing it for fun or competition?

Question 2: What are some of your
favorite Fall foods and/or recipes?

I"m debating! I am so busy with grad school that I think I should probably just support the bloggers that I love (you being one of them!)
As for Fall foods....I love pumpkin bread and vegetable soup!

So I wasn't going to do the PFB, but I posted since it's a good topic. The first challenge, anyway. The second one..I'm more worried about the time-consuming part, but hell, I don't even know if I'll make it to the 2nd round yet.

oooh I was actually thinking that when I saw that muffin - yours looked much better though!

Hey! I'm glad your first day went so well! YAY! Also all of your muffins have been looking soo delicious as usual. Since I am just getting started with this whole blogging thing I am not doing the food bloggers challenge, but wish you lots of luck in it. And speaking of favorite fall foods, I have to say that I ADORE pumpkin pie. Do you eat pumpkin pie in Canada? (Sorry if that seems like a stupid question).

Maybe you can make a pumpkin muffin creation?

Your class sounds really awesome! It's great when you get to spend your day doing something you love :)
Hmm and as for fall foods, I know I'm going to miss pumpkin! But it's okay, because there a plenty of summer foods coming my way :D It's so odd living on the other side of the planet :P

I decided I probably won't be doing the Project Food Blog, but I'm going to be enjoying reading what everyone's writing for it... :)

I love the Scaredy Squirrel stories!!! Can you tell I'm a teacher? :)

I am not participating - I think it would be too much for me right now!

I am so jealous of your muffins! That looks ah-mazing!
I'm still on the fence about the challenge, not sure if I have enough time. I barely have time to blog!!

I am planning to participate. It sounds like fun, and a good way to be creative with blogging. Hoping to discover some blogs along the way too. (Looking forward to your post!)

Yoga teacher training sounds like a great time. I'm curious to hear more about it.

I love anything with spicy flavours, like carrot cake, pumpkin pie, etc..

I am not participating, but I like seeing the posts so far! I look forward to seeing yours :)

Glad you enjoyed your class!! It always helps when you're not feeling tortured by such things ;) And that Scaredy Squirrel looks JUST like you :p

That muffin DOES look like the ones you baked! You are now my muffin girl...teehee. I'll always know where to find a great muffin recipe :-P
I'm not participating, blogging is just a hobby/stress relief for me.

Hope class continues to go well. Sometimes being the youngest isn't a bad thing. I'm guessing you don't act your age - as in you're more mature. Fall foods? Anything with pumpkin, butternut squash, or chili works too.

Glad it seems to be going well!! It sounds like a really cool and inspiring experience.

I'm not doing the PFB competition. Mainly because I'm not a food blogger. If I did ever do anything like that though it would be for fun.

So neat that you are doing yoga teacher training! It sounds like an amazing experience.

I'm not doing project food blog because I think that the odds of winning are pretty slim, and I'd rather not take the time to do it. But that's just me...good luck to you and everyone else doing it!

Fave fall food = def pumpkin!

Congrats on going back to school! I want to enter Project Food Blog, even though I know I wouldn't win, haha. I talked to Food Buzz about becoming a Featured Publisher months ago, but the computer with the scanner is broken, so I can't scan/send my form back. It's kinda frustrating. :P

Glad it went well!!

Im excited for soups and squash, and really anything cooked in my oven. I've avoided using it because my place heats up WAY too fast when its on. :)

I wish I could get exercise and training all in one class!

The muffin looks AMAZING! Yum!

Krista said... [reply]

I'm not a part of foodbuzz so no, I'm not participating. I'm looking forward to reading all the blogs of people who are, though!

That is so awesome that you get to do yoga in class! That must make school so unstressful! :D

I'm so glad to see that you've been enjoying school ;) That's how it was for me when I went to beauty school when I was 15. My mom gave me the option of beauty school or summer camp, and I opted for beauty school since I always had gone to summer camp. I was by far the youngest, but I never felt out of place come to think of it.

Those muffins.. whether you make them or not.. but your muffins are the best :D

I'm participating in the contest because it sounds like something fun to do! It adds variety and I like projects :) And that is what this is to me. A lot of assigned projects lol. It helps me look at blogging in a different way, and also it's neat to see all of the different kinds of posts I can write up.

For fall I love the combination of cinnamon, apple, and raisins.. I also love winter squashes soo much during the cold months. Oo beets and cranberries too! :D

XOXO

p.s. get to work on that post missy ;)

Every time I read your blog I start craving muffins!

That muffin looks fab! We're participating in the project, but haven't done our first post yet. We're doing it for fun, but obviously would love to make it to the end :)

My fav fall foods are anything locally grown and/or produced! I'm lucky to live in farm country.
