Web Withdrawal

Wow, after 2 days of my internet going down, I experienced my first
"Web Withdrawal" ... and NO it wasn't a nice break!!! I did realize though just
how much I don't have a life I hate feeling disconnected! So how did I deal?

Well with... MOVIES AND MUFFINS :)

Rented The Runaways and An Education from Block Buster

Both we're pretty good. An Education is by far my favorite of them though.
I love the story line and the fact that it's set in Britain...

And now onto the "Feature Presentation"

Peach and Blackberry Muffin I picked up while I was at Georgie's Cafe the other day

Amazing, I haven't had a muffin in awhile huh!

Muffins to the Rescue! (every time)

Question: What's the longest time you've
gone without internet? How did you deal?

Glad you're back! Not having access to internet IS rough--I spent a semester in Mexico and it was really spotty!--but in retrospect I'm glad I was forced to take breaks because it forced me to think about things differently and find other ways to entertain myself (like watching good movies!). :-)

I LOVE An Education! So well done! After watching it, I couldn't get the story line (and the significance of the lessons Jenny learned) out of my head. It's very thought provoking!

haha funny :)
I think recently this summer we had a lot of visitors and I didn't use my computer for a week straight...it was annoying at first but then I kind of got used to it and it was nice!

Longest time without internet? Months maybe. Internet hasn't always been that popular :) But since it became a part of my life, I haven't made breaks longer than a week. Even when I didn't have a computer I used to go to internet cafes once a week.

It's funny how much bigger your muffins are than the paper cups :) And this one looks really delicious.

Its a nice change sometimes to break away from the internet but then I would go into withdrawls too! Too bad its too cold to get outside more. I would totally be reading or watching a movie all cozied up with some hot chocolate!

My internet was down for a good part of Sunday night and I was freaking out. It's crazy how attached I am to having it on. Even if I'm doing other things, I often have my email up... Shame... lol

when i was in south africa, i went without internet for a month!!! relaxing in a lot of ways and refreshing definitely (and shows i can live without the internet and focus on the present) but i do like the way the internet connects us all too!

I can't stand the internet being down! Mine was down Sunday as well and it was not fun.

I've wanted to see that movie (An Education) for awhile now. I will check it not now! I have gone long periods of time without internet, but usually because I am gone somewhere so I am occupied. Glad you are back in action!

I love An Education! Such a gorgeous film.

I went without internet for 3 weeks when I first moved to Cape Town because I couldn't get it set up. How did I deal with it? I bought a Blackberry so that I could use it to go online!

There are lots of times I wish the world just didn't have the internet! I love being away from it because I get sucked into what ever I do....

Welcome back Kelsey! We missed you. :) I really liked An Education, too. Very entertaining. The longest I've gone without internet is probably a day or so and only because I was on vacation and had better things to do, ha ha.

I've been wanting to see An Education so badly! But I don't really watch a lot of movies now because the little spare time I have is spent on the internet lol!

Muffins and movies! I love it. I also really enjoyed "An Education". Such a great film. The longest I was without internet was when I went to Africa--five weeks! Needless to say, I was busy so it wasn't hard to adjust to. Thanks for sharing sweet girl!

I think I may be obsessed with internet as well. Even when I'm not at home, my phone has internet so I can check mail/blogs/facebook anytime. Back in the good old days before I had a cell phone with internet, I remember having an ice storm that blew out our electricity (for a week!) and we stayed in a hotel without internet. I was probably in 6th grade though so I had no idea what I was missing. Not sure how I would survive now!
