Sketching and Snacking

Today was a perfect day spent in the sun with friends, Sketching and Snacking

Jess surprised me with healthy snacks for us to share, talk about generous!!

Synergy Kombucha Trilogy Teas, Fresh Vegetable and
Fruit Juice, Chocolate Green Food Bar and Energy Ball

Raw Chocolate Covered Green Food Bar and a
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Oats n' Seed Energy Ball

Once everyone arrived, the lovely host brought out some drinks

And yes, that is Oh the Places You'll Go! by Dr. Seuss on the ground :)

Fresh Organic Apple Juice from Freedom Farm in Courtenay B.C.

And Cinnamon+ Nutmeg for a little spice...

I needed a little Cinnamon in mine ;)

After Snacking came Sketching...

Anna with the adorable "Hippie Flower Girl" Card she made

Jess busy drawing pretty blossoming tree branches and flowers

(Below) Marlie working on a tranquil nature scene...

Group shot of us: I thought I would put the camera in a flower pot
and hit the timer for a "creative" group photo lol... it sorta worked huh!

And what was I drawing, you ask?

A Lion!

I saw this Lion as I was flipping through one of the books...

Not sure what I was doing here... pondering over my Lion perhaps?

The finished sketch

All in all, it was a gorgeous day spent with gorgeous ladies :)

That looks like such a nice way to spend the afternoon! Sometimes I bring a book and a blanket to Stadacona Park and watch people play tennis. :) Of course, playing is fun too!

I never thought to put cinnamon in apple juice but I can imagine that would be very delicious!

Hope you are doing well :)
