Personality Parfaits and Salmon Sandwiches

I'd like to think my Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits have personality

Sliced Nectarine, Banana, and Kiwi in 0% Plain Organic Yogurt

Parfaits shouldn't just be a quick and tasty Breakfast, they
should be pretty and represent your creative mood as well

After Breakfast I snapped more photos of Deer that loitering outside of my house

Mama and Baby Deer

"Yeah, take a hike guys!" hehe

For Lunch I mixed a can of Raincoast Trading Wild Pink Salmon
with Light Canola Mayonnaise, Diced Onion, and Black Pepper

Spread on 2 slices of lightly (Earth Balance
buttered Organic Whole Grain Bread

And pieces of Red and Green Leaf Lettuce

Sandwiched together and cut into thirds

I learnt growing up to slice my sandwiches diagonally, then
slicing one of those halves into half again... just like a traditional deli

I'm obsessed with Salmon Sandwiches

Up Next: Snacking Squirrel is packing her
bags and heading to Vancouver for the week!
I'll have plenty of photos to come of my travels :)

Every time I see you posting pictures of deer I get so jealous! When I lived with my parents, I saw deer around all the time, but now that I live in the city, I never get to see any friendly deer! Tell them Hi from me ;)

I love the deer, they are so cute and graceful. I came face to face with one in Jasper - I think she was more scared than I was!

Is it weird that deer sort of scare me? I don't like how unpredictable their next move will be... this is mostly when I run into them on the running trails, though.

I was taught to cut my sanwiches that way too :)

And I only had my first parfait about a week ago. I was really missing out!

Amazing as always. I have to eat this for breakfast tomorrow!

As an expert in greek yogurt :) I have only one suggestion, try to avoid 0%. Try to eat the full fat in smaller portions because the low fat is very very processed.

You're coming to Van and didn't tell me? I'm hurt! ;) Kinda. Not really. But if you have some time, let's go grab some juice from the Juice Truck, or something equally fun. Have a great trip!

Haha I've never seen a sandwich cut that way! I always just cut mine straight down the middle. :P

I have a stupid question... Why is the kiwi yellow?

Oh those sweet deer remind me of my parent's home. I miss Colorado! And I agree, your parfaits do have personality. Both you and your yogurt are pretty grand :-) Thank you for sharing yourself and your yummy treats. I hope you had a great day today, and I hope you have an even better day tomorrow. Hugs and love from Austin!

Pretty parfaits, they do have personality. They look clean and simple, refreshing and sweet. Why am I scared of canned salmon?

Oh how fun! I love when those little deer have the spots still. I want to snuggle with them.

Also, how awesome is red lettuce? I just started eating it and now I'm kicking myself for having taken so long to eat it's sweet buttery leaves!
