Maple Pecan Cereal and Vegetable Sushi

The combination of Maple, Pecans, and crunchy
Oat Granola Clusters sounds luscious, doesn't it?

Nature's Path Organic Flax Plus Maple Pecan Crunch Cereal

And a source of Omega-3 fats

When I saw this cereal on sale, I picked up a box and was delighted
to find a substantial amount of hefty Granola Clusters and Pecans

"Nutty, Sweet & Honest"

Made with Organic Flax Seeds, Maple Syrup, Pecans, and Oats

Nutrition Facts per 3/4 cup

I added the cereal to a bowl of plain yogurt and blueberries

The maple and pecan aroma is so powerful that it's hard not to
stick your nose into the cereal box, like incense for the nostrils!

The Maple Pecan Crunch comes in a close second to my other
favourite Nature's Path Cereal, the Pumpkin Flax Plus Granola

I came home for lunch, bringing take-out sushi with me

"Ready to Eat" Brown Rice Vegetable Combo Sushi

Does anyone else think it's crazy that this sushi was $5.49
plus tax? But when you're hungry, money doesn't matter!

WASABI! Love that stuff. I also like the
Ginger but didn't bother with the Soy Sauce

Carrot, Cucumber, Avocado, and Nori Seaweed tucked inside the Brown Rice

Close up of the condiments

Someone is getting better at their chopstick skills ;)

Questions: Do you spend more money on food
when you're hungry? Are there any purchases you've
made lately that you realize you paid too much for?

man, it's been way too long since i've had sushi. that looks awesome! yes i will totally spend more when i'm hungry. it's really dangerous for me to go to whole foods if i haven't eaten! :)

My chopsticks have the same print as your sushi tray :) .

I usually spend less when I am hungry because I just buy something cheap and filling. But in general I am a person who spends way too much money on food.

Heh, I had sushi today too! My boyfriend and I went to Sushi Plus. We got 4 rolls + a side of tempura for $15. :D

I recently tried that cereal and it DOES smell incredible. I like to eat it with sliced banana and dried cranberries! Side note, I always like seeing the french-english labelling that you don't see on American food blogs...hehe.

I'm pretty good about not spending too much on food, but when I'm home in Toronto I occasionally splurge on sushi and the hot bar at Whole Foods...yumm.

I have definitely paid more than my fair share when I am over hungry. But the stomach is my higher power sometimes and it cannot be denied!
That cereal sounds yummy - Christmas in a box :)

your sushi price is very justified, i think! and you love wasabi, too?! yeah! an old manfriend once ridiculed me for eating my wasabi whole. he called them, "wasabi nuggets" because to him, i ate the green gobs of goodness like one eats "chicken nuggets." haha. and i recently dipped my almonds and cashews into the wasabi with my sushi, and it was too die for! you must try that sometime to prove my statement as true. :) did your cereal taste anything like honey nut cheerios? seems like it might, but with an extra bang from the pecans! x

I love Nature's Path Flax granola! But that cereal is healthier. :P I hate that sushi is so expensive - and so yummy!

There's a shop that sells sushi for 5-8 Euro a serving, and sometimes I buy some, but not very often (too expensive!).
