Earth Laughs in Flowers

I'm so happy everyone enjoyed my Gluten Free Guide

It's exciting to hear that many of you are interested in trying out the lifestyle to see if
you feel better. Thank you for commenting; I enjoyed reading each and every one

"Earth laughs in flowers" -Ralph Waldo Emerson

I made another tasty egg wrap for breakfast mainly because I
bought spinach. I actually liked the kale better which is surprising
because spinach seems like such an egg-friendly vegetable!

I added mustard and red onions, then placed it on a brown rice tortilla

The wrap was super soft today too... bonus!

Posing with my pineapple :D

Sliced up a huge bunch and topped with cinnamon. Very refreshing!

I was craving salmon again for lunch, so I made a quick wild
salmon sandwich using whole spelt flour bread and soy butter

In went the Veganaise, white onion, green onion, and salmon of course!

But of course, I had to have a little afternoon treat too...

Chocolate!!! Organic and fair-trade dark chocolate from
Organic Fair. It's made in Cobble Hill BC so it's local too!

Heart of Gold 75% Cacao Dark Chocolate with
Cranberry, Blueberry, Matcha, Cinnamon & Ginger

Dinner was a simple rice noodle soup, nice and light just before yoga tonight :)

And I'll leave you with a picture of my new friend who came to visit
outside my front window. I think he's a little wary of snacking squirrels...

Question: What's your favorite sandwich?

I wish I liked Pineapple!! I like Pineapple drinks mixed with strawberry...OH YUUUUUUUUM!

I am a fan of the lame-o old school turkey sandwich - but there has to be some light mayo and lettuce...:D My mom used to make me turkey sandwiches every day from 1st-12th grade!

GIRL you are so sweet! i adore you :) and i LOVE pineapple! cute pic!! fav sammie-ANYTHING W. HUMMUS!!

I think my favorite sandwich combo would have to beeeee... almond butter and jam/honey, or avocado with grated apple/carrot, or cream cheese with jam. Oddly enough, though, I'm not a big fan of close faced sandwiches; I prefer to eat both pieces of bread separate.

That deer is adorable. The only thing I see in my front yard are squirrels, rabbits, and cats...

anything with hummus, avocado....add eggs or salmon or anything..or go vegan or veg route with just that...or add tempeh, tofu...jam, nut butter..nut butter with any of the above...tuna and pumpkin seed butter are good together...even jam and cheese works..lots

Oh I love spinach, but I'll have to try kale. I actually have never had it before... crazy, right?

And favorite sandwich? That's a tough one! I'd prolly go with a solid chicken sandwich. And if you added guac to it, I wouldn't complain... ;)

I've never tried pineapple with cinnamon. Sounds very interesting. I'm trying it next time!

Aww, cute deer. I love them! He looks different than the ones we have here in NY. Mine are all brown.

Such an adorable picture! I wish I had random furry woodland creature wandering into my yard, but my "yard" is a parking lot. I live in a building in a big city. The only animals around here are racoons and squirrels.

My favourite sandwich is an open faced sunbutter on ezekiel with some kind of fruity topping, or something with veggies and hummus.

What a cute deer! I always get excited when I see one while running in the woods :).

There are too many fantastic sandwiches in my opinion. But my favourite would be the one that I had yesterday.. asparagus, bear's garlic pesto with tofu, sundried tomatoes paste, lettuce and tomatoes. SO GOOD!

Have a great weekend dear!

Thanks for commenting on my blog! My favorite sandwich...that is a hard one, because sandwiches are my favorite food group! But I would have to say a good grilled cheese sandwich is the ultimate comfort food sandwich for me. Can't go wrong with a classic.

Hey girl - the cut up pineapple reminds me that I should have picked some up the other day. MMMM I can't really say that I have a favorite sandwich. I used to eat sandwiches a lot, but haven't lately. One that I used to love was a grilled cheese: pesto, spinach, tomatoes, provolone.

Oh my gosh fresh pineapple is UNREAL! It is soooo much better than canned. I just wish I could eat it fast enough!

I love veggie sandwiches. Tomato, cucs, lettuce, avocado, onion... Now I want one :)

Hey Kelsey! Thanks for your sweet comment on my post! I'm already feeling a little bit more calm. I know I can't feel guilty forever because I ate some stuff that I should'nt have! And stressing about overeating makes me want to overeat again. It's an awful cycle!
Making the to-do list actually helped me. I love to cross out the things I got done.
Have a lovely weekend!

I used to love smoked salmon sandwiches, prior to having to eat gluten-free bread! My absolute favorite. And sometimes just avocado and cheese works too. But yours looks awesome!!

Everything looks so good! My favorite sandwich would probably be PB and J or PB and banana. If I'm eating eggs than my favorite salad becomes egg salad. :)

The deer is so cute! I love when I look out the window and spot random wildlife.

Oooh, I've never even thought about cinnamon and pineapple!

My favorite sandwich is from Serendipity3 in NYC. It has cinnamon raisin bread, brie, apple, turkey, sprouts, and 1000island dressing. Holy yum!

PB sandwich, plain and simple, well simply delicious!
I love pineapple, but never have the motivation to chop one up haha.

thanks so much for the sweet birthday wishes! i'm glad to hear that you enjoyed your sixteenth birthday with your friends. i definitely can relate to the feeling of maturity with such a momentous age.

thanks for the gluten-free guide in your last post! i can't wait to try out some of the products for myself. i definitely see that reducing gluten can be beneficial. oh, and i love the cute little dearie in your backyard. seeing beautiful animals always makes me smile.

and even though this comment is kind long (sorry!), i thought i want to share my favorite sando combination. roasted veggies and hummus on sprouted grain bread is the way to go. or a wrap with zucchini, brussels, yellow squash, and roasted chickpeas. actually, i'm about to make one right now!

have a lovely day!

i have never had pineapple with cinnamon before - i imagine, like all things cinammon touches, that it is quite good.

my fave sandwich is probably pb and j. or egg and cheese if i'm not feeling sweet.

Cinnamon + pineapple?? I'll have to try that!

Organic, fair-trade, local, dark-cranberry-blueberry-matcha-cinnamon-ginger chocolate sounds PERFECT to me :D

Oh, and I was @ the store today and picked up some GF pancake mix on a whim. I didn't know what compelled me to do that but it must have been your post the other day!
