Be Cute, Eat Fruit

Seems like my "Squirrelly Buns" recipe is a hit :)

I'm so excited that so many of you are going to try them. I promise they are SO easy to make! I love baking and watched my mom every chance I got as a kid, so I learnt everything from her. I want to start posting some gluten-free recipes as well in addition to vegan ones. I like to bake without dairy and eggs because I know most of my readers have food allergies and what not

In true 'Hug a Fat' style I made a delicious nut butter breakfast

Peanut Butter, Jam and Honey on Wheat-Free Bread

Lot's of healthy fats to keep me fueled!

Western Sage Bee Magic Honey with Bee Pollen and Royal Jelly

Crofter's Organic Wild Blueberry Jam

Craving a big chicken and bean stir-fry for lunch. Mixed in
some black-eyed peas with a whole bunch of different veggies

Snacky Snacky on a Cocoa Coconut Chew Larabar

Today is my friend's 21st birthday so I'm going out tonight for
a raw vegan dinner followed by an African drumming session.
Anyone ever been? I'm excited to try it out and see what it's like

Because she is a raw foodie I thought I would suprise her
with a basket of organic fruit. I went to the store and bought
her bananas, apples, mangoes, and kiwis. I also put in a
yellow lily and a weekly yoga planner for her to write in

All I could find was a Christmas basket.. but I'm hoping maybe
the trees will count more as a nature theme than a Christmas theme, no?

Have a great time tonight! I used to go to African dance and drumming session when I was in university. Loads of fun, and great exercise!

Love that you bought a fruit basket for a birthday gift.

What a lovely gift basket, great idea! Not sure if you can pass off the X-mas trees for a nature theme though, LOL.

That sounds like such a fun night. I wish I had more veggie friends and raw foodies, so interesting! I love pb and j..that one is definitely drool-worthy!

Haha I think the trees count as nature themed when you live up north! Maybe not if you were giving it to her in Florida..

African drumming sounds so interesting. I can't wait to hear about it!

Thats such a great gift for your friend! I would love it haha
I have never been to a drum circle but I've heard a lot about them. I went to three different high schools (long story) and one of the schools I went to was a hippie-ish school with lots of peace-lovin weed-smokin drum circle goers. I didn't really fit in, but I still had a lot of fun with those people. I never had the pleasure of attending the drum circles but everyone said they were fun and a really cool thing to do as a group. Hope you enjoy it! <3

OMG must your food always look this delicious?! I keep having to clean my drool off my keyboard! Lol. But... I'm not complaining!

I did a course this semester on Music in Global Context and we did African music too. It's amazing! I didn't get to play on the drums though but some of my course mates did and it looked heck of a lot of fun! I'm sure you'll enjoy tonight!!

Much love,
Nat xoxo
