Who Wears Short Shorts...

Morning toast with peanut butter and honey. One
side got no honey though, I like to be cruel like that ;)

Before I headed downtown to do a little vintage shopping...
Is that all this chick does? ... I hit up Green Cuisine... again,
is that all this chick does? for a big bowl of take-out goodies.

Let's play "Eat Through the Layers!" Starting with a
gluten-free quinoa millet patty on top of kale and broccoli
and covered in cayenne pepper with chili powder.

Hello broccoli and some yam & walnut salad :)

I munched down to some arame seaweed and red onion...

... until I hit the curried black-eyed peas! Nom.

Then I grabbed a tea from Starbucks. "China Green Tips please."

After, I met up with a friend to consume some raw treats drom Cafe Bliss. I
had a superfood bliss ball with a chocolate bliss bar... nanaimo-like bar thingy...

Okay, so did I find anything at Value Village? YUP!
I loved the writing; these words out jumped at me :)

.. and when the weather finally gets hot
ima take this little number out for a ride...

Oh and I liked this cropped shirt as well...

Warning: This weekend may include nude
people on bikes and orgasmic rice crispy squares

Your lunch looks absolutely delish! I can't believe how many layers there are to that thing!

I just found your blog :) I look forward to reading it!

No honey for one side of the toast? =O Girl you are BEYOND cruel... At least he got some nut butter tho :)

I've seen those raw treats at PO I think. Always thought about picking them up, but it seems kind of silly since they're so easy to make on your own. Starbucks, on the other hand, is a must.

Your weekend sounds like it's going to be crazy and delicious. Can't wait to hear more about it.

haha rice crispy squares take me back to childhood! Your endless lunch bowl looks tasty!!

The switch over to wordpress isn't as difficult as everyone thinks! It is pretty annoying at first, but you get used to it fast...and half the buttons, you can just ignore. So that makes it less confusing. I don't remember how to transfer posts, but I remember that it wasn't hard to figure out. I followed directions from the health blog helper website...I can send you a link if you want. I like WP a lot better.

Nude people on bikes? Wtf? lol
Can't wait to hear more about your weekend..you have sparked my interest.
Your eats look yummy as always.

Hahaha people totally do do that! Me included! Please tell your mother that I would love to eat egg/jam combo sandwiches with her lol (:

I love all your vintage finds, they're the best kind of shopping goodies. And I'm just about to switch over to wordpress too! We should definitely help each other out on that front, cause I don't know about you - but I'm computer-retarded sometimes!

sophia said... [reply]

Yes, PLEASE change to Wordpress. It's not hard. You don't have to be a whiz anything to do it. I don't know the first thing about computers, and it was easy enough for me too! So do it asap before you amass too many stuff here in blogspot! :-)

Joanne said... [reply]

I think the word orgasmic is not used enough in the blogger world. I'm so glad you threw it in there.

Your layers of deliciousness have my stomach growling! I've often thought about switching to wordpress but the thought of losing my page ranking makes me want to cry. So I probably won't :P

I love quinoa/millet patties. So nutty and delicous! There's something about raw desserts that make me drool. Maybe because they look so rich yet have the benefits of being healthy. GOOD STUFF!

CaSaundraLeigh said... [reply]

Those two chocolate treats look divine!! :-)

Mitri said... [reply]

Thanks for your comment :) <3

For some reason, on my blogroll it doesn't pop up when you've posted something new, so I just keep manually entering your blog. ;) But I know that's not just your blog; it's been happening to others for me, too.

Nude people on bikes??? LOL Can't wait to hear about that!

Anonymous said... [reply]

Again, it didn't show up on my reader so I am happy to find you on your site lady! I love wordpress for the most part! I just wish I had more templates that could use large photos...

The eats all look stellar...and sounds like a fun weekend planned.

I am such a fan of crop tops and am wearing cutoff jean shorts right now!

Christina said... [reply]

Ahh is there a nude bike race there?! I don't know why I'm totally excited to hear more about that. As long as there's no nude pictures of you on a bike :) That might be weird.

I don't know what I'd do without my computer whiz boyfriend. I probably wouldn't even have a blog!

Anonymous said... [reply]

I used Blogspot for about a year and a half before I switched to Wordpress. I'm a big fan of WP now; you should look into it.

Those raw treats look delicious! Happy Saturday, Kelsey.

blessedmama said... [reply]

Great blog you have here! I think I wore those shorts in third grade. :-)

runnerforever said... [reply]

I love wordpress and haven't had any issues with it. I think you will like it quite a bit!

Gina; The Candid RD said... [reply]

Nude people on bikes, and orgasmic food?? Ummmm....where?! lol

Sorry blogspot isn't working for you. Seriously I have never had a problem with it, yet I hear so many others complaining about it! Maybe I am just getting lucky? Who knows. I tried wordpress for another blog and just wasn't a fan, but I' one of the only people who says that.

Loved eating through the layers on this post! Yum!

Heather (Where's the Beach) said... [reply]

I had wondered why I wasn't seeing any new posts showing up in my reader. I didn't think it was like you to go totally MIA!!!

Anonymous said... [reply]

That last top looks so cute!! I love! x) PB & Honey are just lip-smackingly good I think I'll have some for brekkie tomorrow (since it's 11pm here already) and omg! Join the wordpress club girlie! I welcome you with open arms! Hehe

I am going to be so disappointed if the warning for the next post does not come to fruition. That being said, I am going to be disappointed if I never get to try such an amazing looking veggie burger- why is that not available in my frozen food section? ahh
Katherine

That lunch bowl looks awesome, especially the veggie patty. You are making me so jealous we dont have a Green Cuisine on the mainland! I havent gone hunting at VV for so long, I need to do that again!

That is a great t-shirt! And I hope your weekend didn't involve too many naked guys on bikes... that can't be a pretty (or painless) picture.

ac said... [reply]

Yes, yes, take those shorts out fo' a ride! Great finds at Value Village are the highlights of some days. :-)
