Bye Bye Brownies

I've been snacking lately on a lot of the
Brownie Bites I got from Lauren that I posted.

And after munching on little cups like these...

I woke up this morning to find there was only a few bites left!

I knew this day would come but I wasnt quite prepared for it haha

So I needed to give them a proper burial, out of respect.

Haha kk this isnt a funeral, WHAT am I talking about...

I added some cinnamon to the mix too, just cuz!

Lately i've been seeing a lot of "money shots" and decided that I would tease you all this morning with a close up.

These gluten-free brownie bits are truly THAT YUMMY!

Remember, you can still post your
Breakfast Recipe Link on yesterdays post,
I haven't read any of the comments yet
so I better go do that now.

Question: Did you have a
favorite stuffed animal as a
child? What was it, and
what was their name?

I have a big stuffed turquoise colored bear named "Baby Blue." Yes, I was so creative as a child. My brother ripped one of her eyes out & eventually she got a hole in her throat. My mom took the bow off of her head & patched up her throat. So my bear had a sex change. I still have him & will never get rid of him! :)

So sad to see the brownie bites go, although now I wont have to experience the jealousness I've been feeling everytime I see you eat them :)

My favorite stuffed animal growing up was a stuffed doll, I named her Jammy Pie.... I think I still have her somewhere

Your bowl of brownie goodness looks amazing! It is making me want to get my hands on some chocolate as soon as I possibly can. Don't you hate it when you finish the last of something truly delicious?

Her name is Jingle Louis and I made her at Build-A-Bear. I'm a nerd...I know, and I have no idea how I came up with that name! haah I am reading the posts above me and I am loving the animal names!

I had this huge white dog that was the softest thing in the world. His name was Fluffy, and he isn't completely stuffed so he kind of slumps over you. Loved sleeping with him at night since he kind of acted like a second pillow. He's still in my old bedroom!

Your pictures in your posts haven't been showing up for me for the past few days! :( I really want to see those brownies haha!

Ahh I had so many favourite stuffed animals! A dog named Sammy, a penguin named Pingu, and a bear named Tajunia.

I couldn't think of a better funeral myself ;) That looks great!! And I am so excited to see what you make for breakfast based on what people send in. I was thinking of doing something like that soon, too!!

Aww I always get kind of sad when I come to the end of a batch of cookies, or other tasty treat... which happened today, unfortunately. It was bye-bye banana bread :( But! that just means it's time to enjoy something new :)

I still have my childhood stuffie. It's a beat-up old doggie with floppy ears, and his name is Trips. We did a lot of traveling when I was little and we picked him up on one of our many trips, hence the name. Love him. He's been with me for so many years, that it's kind of scary to think what would happen if I ever lost him... eep.

i just want to see your foooooooood!

i still have a bear from when i was litle - he doesn't have a name, but I had to do surgery on him many times.

I want those brownies!!

My favorite stuffed animal was a Pooch Patrol dog named Sarge. I won't lie, I still sleep with him.

Anonymous said... [reply]

oh wow, I am drooling right now!

I had a stuffed Winnie the Pooh that I slept with every night...that is, until we took a trip to Disney World and I forgot him! I cried the whole first day, and asked my mom about a million times if we could go home and get him. She obviously said no, considering we had traveled to Florida from Pennsylvania!

I was the stuffed animal queen. I had over a hundred. My brother and I had them all named and a huge family tree mapped out showing how each and every one was related. We even incorporated our real live cats into the family. I believe our oldest cat muffin was the great grandmother of my favorite stuffed kitty named Carmel.

Of course those brownies needed a proper goodbye! hehe i left you a breakfast suggestion in the other post i hope you like it :)

Hi lovely love,
I am so happy that you loved the brownies, and I can't think of a more delicious way to finish them off! It looks perfect.
And I love that quote...I'm sorry my writing looks so messy! The post it note is smaller than it looks in the picture, and it was kind of hard to write so small with the big markers. But I hope its legible! It is a quote I'm trying to live by right now...since I have some decisions to make, and I'm terrified of making the wrong choice...and I just have to remember that mistakes are okay and nothing is unfixable. And it is better to live than to simply exist. To try and to fail than to never try at all. I love the message and I'm glad I got to share it with you and your many blog readers!

Yes- I had a stuffed animal as a kid. It was one of those cats that purred when you moved it, and his name was Kitty (wow...how creative of me). Oh, but it gets even better...I also had a blanket named...wait for it...Blankie. I still have them both to this day, but they are pretty ratty and tattered. Blankie was big, so I couldn't take him outside with me, but as soon as I got home I would curl up with him and suck my thumb. Now I'm revealing my secrets on your blog. I should shut up now.

Oh goodness, those brownie bites look wonderful!

My absolute favorite stuffed animal when I was young was named Hickory. He was a brown bear and went everywhere with me. I hadn't thought about him in years, until I read this post tonight. Such fond, happy Hickory memories!

Have a great Friday!

I definitely had a favourite stuffed animal :) I had this enormous brown bear named Mr. Minky (seriously, he was about the size of a great dane). Unfortunately, my two weiner dogs broke into my room a few years ago and shredded him! x_x

Those bites look delish! I have a stuffed animal that I actually got when I was 15, but I love it: it's a green and blue monster with all kinds of different fabrics, whom I've named Jack.

I haven't had breakfast yet and those pictures are making me stomach growl! Oh my gosh YUM!

And I never actually had a favorite stuffed animal as a kid. I feel like I missed out on an important aspect of childhood, haha.

I LOVE brownies. In fact I brought a batch of gluten free brownies with me to Pittsburgh. They are in my little mini hotel fridge :)

That quote is fantastic. It's so true, mistakes are the only way we learn, and they are a normal and healthy part of life!

Favorite stuffed animal? Hmm...I had a lot, but my favorite was a bear I had that smelled like fruit and had a mirror on it's paw and a brush on its tail. Loved it.

Anonymous said... [reply]

Hahaha, love this post!

I had many favorite stuffed animals, but I don't think I named them. I was a big fan of a stuffed duck I had that was wearing a dress.

Don't you hate it when you get near the bottom of something you like, and feel like you have to ration it out... and then it goes bad?!

I can't see most of the pics on your site anymore, I wonder what's going on :(

My favorite stuffed animal as a child was a lamb appropriately named Lamby. She wore a suit with jelly beans all over it - yeah, it was an easter present. I took her everywhere with me! Sadly though, I got really sick as a child and she had to be thrown away... poor lamby

Holy crap. Lauren sends delicious treats, and you make delicious masterpieces out of them! My stomach literally growled when I came to your "money shot". Thanks, Kels. :P

My favourite stuffie was (is) a pig. Her gender is interchangeable, depending on how much of a rush I'm in when I'm talking about him (or her), and its name is Piggy-Wiggy. I'm a freak! I love Piggy Wiggy like no other.

I love this post, those brownies look sooo good! I totally had a favorite stuffed animal. It was a TY beanie baby big one named crystal and she was a white kitten. I got her when I was in the first grade and in the hospital when i dislocated my hip. The nurse actually thought that she was a real cat, I love her so much! :)
