Make My Meal - Make My Morning

July is all about trying new things

Taking a step back I notice similar patterns in my breakfasts and its got me in a minor rut. Seeing everyone post scrumptious and creative breakfasts got me thinking...

Of course, muffins are FABULOUS...

But even delicious Spelt Apple Walnut Streusel Muffins from Green Cuisine can feel a little repetative.

Plus, theres always the fruit, which we can't blame!
At least I switch between grapes, cherries, pineapple, and berries.

Remember these protein bars?
It's been a long time since i've posted them!!!

Locally handmade Chocolate Pumpkin Seed Bar
packed with raw vegan protein!

But where are the waffles, the bagels, the pancakes?
The french toast and scrambles, the loaves and fruit bakes?

Anyways I got a BRAIN FART!!!

Yes thats right, and I need your help.
I'm starting something I call...

"MmM-MmM"
Make My Meal - Make My Morning

Comment below with the name and link of a Breakfast recipe you posted on your blog that you want me to make. Anything goes and the options are endless. The only catch is it must be wheat-free or at least flexible enough for me to sub in a wheat-free alternative.

I will randomly pick a number and select a winner, in which I will attempt make their meal! It's win-win because I get to try new things and your gorgeous food gets a little more credit!

"Winner" will be chosen
Saturday, July 17

This sounds like a great idea! I would say you should make some wheat free waffles like these:
http://afreshdille.wordpress.com/2010/06/09/two-bits-of-bad-news-two-delicious-breakfasts/
which were jessica's recipe found here:
http://healthyexposures.wordpress.com/2010/06/15/in-a-jar

of course the muffins always look stellar though!

Breakfast is my favorite meal! I don't know if there is a wheat-free alternative to tortillas (I would guess there is?), but my favorite breakfast is eggs and veggies in a tortilla with Laughing Cow cheese. Mmmmmmm :)

Vegan GF pancakes. They are denser than reg pancakes, not "light and airy" but they are really good.

Hell, just skip breakfast and have coffee. Thats what i do :)

I eat the same thing every morning as well...but mix up dinner so much that I'm strangely okay with that. My favorite breakfast that I've made...hmmm. Pioneer Woman's lazy chile rellenos and breakfast (sweet) potatoes! Total yum.

Ooo you know I'm an oatmeal girl ;) I definitely reccomend trying baked apple pie oats... To.die.for. http://seekmyself.wordpress.com/recipes/baked-apple-cinnamon-raisin-oatmeal/ They're soooo good with coconut butter and some yogurt... Or maybe a bit of pudding ;)

Lox! I guess you can't eat it with a bagel, but maybe some GF cracker and cream cheese.

I published two non gluten recipes today. Fried calamari and pancakes with chocolate. You can use the second one for breakfast.
Well on the other hand if you want to eat calamari for breakfast, fine by me :)

HAHA I love the picture of the brain fart!! My favorite thing for breakfast is probably a smoothie I make!

I use about 1 cup mixed berries
1/2-1 cup of raspberry sherbet
1/2 cup of sunny delight or orange juice
1 cup of spinach

I'm not really certain on the measurements, I just put as much as I feel and then as much juice to get it smooth. I'll sometimes add ice too! :)

My Morning Breakfast:
- Roasted Butternut Squash (like HERE: http://itiswhatitisgg.blogspot.com/2010/01/my-latest-food-obsession.html) mixed with pureed pumpkin sprinkled with cinnamon, parsley & stevia.... with an over-easy egg and lots of egg whites sprinkled with cilantro, paprika, salt, pepper & a bit of garlic!

So delicious! :)
