The Fortune Cookie Has Spoken

When I bought my groceries at Fairway Market yesterday, the cashier gave me some Chinese New Year celebration goodies; Lucky red envelope and fortune cookie!

Random thought... is there such thing as gluten-free fortune cookies?

The fortune cookie has spoken,
"A kiss can beautify souls, hearts, and thoughts"

I agree, except i'm single... and let's not talk about
how long its been since I manifested this fortune lol

Just when I was putting my camera away, I curiously checked inside the
envelope just in case... and to my surprise, you'll never guess what was inside!

A COUPON for Asian Family Sauces? haha... gotta love grocery stores ;)

Haha love that there was a coupon in there! Hilarious!! :D

The only fortune cookie I've ever had told me that I would find true love that year. I was eight, and I don't think I found it! :P

I can't eat fortune cookies either, but I do love seeing the cheesy little notes inside! Have a great day Kelsey!

I am sure there are gluten-free fortune cookies that you can order.

If you want to make some, here is a recipe:

My favourite part of fortune cookies is adding "in bed" to the end of them. Apparently I'm a 7 year old boy. :P

I agree with Chelsea... add "in bed" and your fortune is pretty amazing, LOL!

Hehehehe love that they gave you a coupon!! My old roommate would always give me an envelope with $5 in it. I always thought that was so sweet!

Don't even get me started on the being single for way too long thing...although, things *might* just be turning around in my world. And now that I said that, I've just jinxed it. Damnit!

We have a few of the sauces in our fridge, my dad loves stir-frying with them. I think they're fairly high in sodium though so I kind of avoid them.

No worries about being single for too long.. I'm in the same boat. *le sigh* It's totally my own fault too but right now I actually don't care. Haha. :)

Happy Chinese New Year!!! :) I love fortune cookies so much is ridiculous! I bought a box for my family and we all opened one as a part of our New Year's rituals.
I hope you had a fabulous weekend Kelsey!

We went to a fortune cookie factory in San Francisco, and we were fortunate enough to sample a freshly made batch! Maybe your fortune meant that you were going to be "kissing" some delicious sauces. I hope you have a wonderful week sweet girl!

I haven't had a fortune cookie in ages! (And I also can't eat them anymore.) The last one I opened recommended to dress modestly, but I do that anyway.

Agree with the above "in bed" we used to do that in college all the time...
There's gotta be someone somewhere who makes one GF!

Getting a fortune cookie and a red envelope at the grocery store is fun! :-) I haven't had a fortune cookie in years...
