AJ's Organic Cafe and Blogger Meetup

Today I headed downtown to have lunch with the lovely
(birthday girl) Marianne from French Fries To Flax Seeds

I was so excited to meet her when she told me she was coming
to Victoria to visit, so I suggested we try out AJ's Organic Cafe

Located inside The Atrium

Gorgeous interior

Beautiful bright light streaming through the many windows

Ceiling view

Long rows of modern tables and chairs

Elevators

Wood paneling

Entrance

"Hours of Deliciousness" hehe

Inside the Cafe

They have the menu projected on the wall!

Menu

Green Wall with living plants :)

Lot's of fresh meals and desserts...

Wraps, Sandwiches, Salads etc.

Carrot Cupcakes Cakes

View from our sitting area

And just as quickly as we ordered, our food arrived!

I got the Turkey Gobble Wrap

Free-run, non-medicated turkey breast with garlic chive cheese,
shredded vegetables, mayo and mustard, in a whole wheat tortilla

Marianne ordered the Turkey Pear Wrap... Mmm both great choices if you ask me :)

The waitress noticed the Birthday Card I made Marianne and brought
over a complementary Carrot Cake, and two forks, to celebrate! And
because sharing is caring, we both dug in and savored this delicious dessert :)

Happy Birthday Marianne

Thanks for suggesting the lunch spot, because it was delicious! And it was great to hang out for a couple hours, chatting and enjoying birthday carrot cake. We'll have to check out another place next time I find myself over in your neck o' the woods :D

I *love* it when places give a special touch like that. It sets the great cafes and restaurants apart from all the rest, in my opinion. =)

Looks like a fabulous outing! =)

That restaurant is gorgeous! I know an odd word to describe a restaurant, but it is! Love it all. And the "hours of deliciousness" thing cracked me up too.

I have a feeling I would love that place. Great wraps and nice people to give a complimentary carrot cake (that looks that good!). Yes please!

That cafe looks so awesome! It would be hard to find since it's inside the atrium I would thing, but it would definitely be worth it, the food looks delicious!

Wow, that building and the ambiance alone look like reasons to stop here. So beautiful, and I'm loving all of that sunlight! It doesn't hurt that the food looks pretty good, too. ;)

I've yet to have a blogger meet up :( But please allow me to say that the organic cafe looks PHENOMENAL.

How fun - a blogger meetup PLUS a beautiful, delicious restaurant! I love the card you made her - it's so pretty and thoughtful!

I love cute cafe's like AJ's...I just wish there were more of them! Even in Washington DC, it's tough to find casual restaurants that feature organic, sustainable meat and produce. Maybe I need to come visit you in BC. Date at AJ's? :-)

What a cute card you made Marianne! I love the sparkling jewels! <3

Wow, I just did a complete 360. I went to University of Guelph (not sure if you've heard of it, it's in Ontario) but our atrium looked 100% like that, it totally felt like a deja-vu moment.

That cupcake looks absolutely divine, wish I would of known about this place when I went to Victoria for that cupcake alone :P

Oh my!!!!!!!!!! I took one look at this post and called the Husband over to look at the gorgeous architecture. Apparently, he's been there and ate at the same place. Meanwhile, I'm clearly over-due for a visit.

I honestly feel like Victoria has gotten cooler since I left! :P

The Husband and I then had a good laugh that after we left our current home in the Kootenays it would likely turn into the next Banff. HA!
