Friday Pancake Flipping

I've spent most of the day lounging around at home dealing with an annoying
cough and cold. Normally when I'm sick, like you may remember here, all I want
is hot tea and warm soup... but for whatever reason, I had pancakes on my mind!

And not just any pancakes! I wanted healthy,
flourless, delicious, fiberlicious protein pancakes!

Banana Oatmeal Fiberlicious Protein Pancakes

Ingredients:

1 medium banana
1/3 cup quick oats
1/3 cup egg whites
2-3 Tbsp water
1-2 Tbsp protein powder
1 tsp ground cinnamon
Dash of stevia/sweetener

1 Tbsp unsweetened carob chips (optional)

Directions:
A. Combine everything into a bowl and stir until blended
B. Place skillet/pan over medium to med-high heat
C. Pour batter onto hot skillet
D. After a couple minutes, when bubbles start to form on top, flip to other side
E. When both sides are cooked, remove from pan and devour!

Not as pretty as my Cranberry Oatmeal Pancakes, but still scrumptious!

And because they're so healthy, I'd like to think I'm
doing my body some good to help fight off this cold!

Questions: Which is better, pancakes or waffles?
What is your favorite type of pancake and/or waffle?

I like pancakes better than waffles, and yours sound awesome. I like that they are made with oats, and that they stayed together so well. I will definitely be trying those!

When I first saw the pictures I thought there were black olives in the pancakes :-)

Pancakes are easier but waffles are better - I like the crispiness of a waffle! Now if only I owned a waffle iron I wouldn't have to borrow my friend's all the time :)

I prefer waffles over pancakes, but this sound amazing :)

These look so great! It's been a long time since I have seen an oatmeal pancake that looked like a real flour pancake!

Weekends and delicious dessert-like breakfasts just go hand in hand...I know what I will be making tomorrow morning!

Ooohhh I think I like waffles better, but both are special and tasty!! I like how waffles have all those ridges so the maple syrup doesn't just pour off ;) they're like pockets! hehehe.

Thanks for sharing the recipe, love.

XO!
