I'm definitely not one to shy away from weird food combinations
My philosophy is that there are so many foods that do
not traditionally go together but, out of fear to experiment,
many people have not tapped into new sources of flavor
Let's dissect this breakfast for starters...
Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin Bread topped with sliced banana (normal so far) but
then topped with a poached egg, cinnamon and cayenne pepper (not normal)
The savory egg balances out the sweetness of the meal
But you don't need to stop there; Some saltiness, like peanut
butter or a slice of cheese, would elevate the flavor even further
And all foodies know it can be exciting when you stumble
upon your own unique and nontraditional flavor combinations
Question: Do you have any strangely delicious
food combinations you've discovered that you
would like to share with Snacking Squirrel readers?

I love sweet and savory combos! I haven't had a PB&J egg sandwich for a while, but they are very good. Okay, basically anything with an egg is good.
-.- at this combination! chile :)
I LOVE eating weird combinations. I remember my mom talking about peanut butter, bacon and onion sandwiches as well as peanut butter, banana and mayonnaise. (*cringe*)
On the other hand, I like to prepare tuna with mayonnaise, a tiny drop of honey and a mixture of onion and curry powder in a bowl. And then scoop at it with really thinly sliced apple!
Occasionally, I'll slip a few potato chips into my ham sandwich.
I also like to put sliced goat's fetta on crackers and then top them with sweet chilli sauce. (possibly not weird, but if you get a chance, TRY IT!)
(I also admit to only doing these things when I'm alone and feel that I cannot be judged! haha.)
I totally have heard about the peanut butter, banana, and mayonnaise combo! I actually have tried it! It really isn't too bad... But the thought of having mayo on banana just kept me from finishing it! Grossed me out too much!
I put ketchup on alot of things?! But I can't think of weird combos at the moment...
I definitely do them though!
Now that is an interesting combination! I am intrigued.
Should try melon with pepper and sundried tomatoes...just yummm!! Raw garlic with kiwi, Black beans with sliced banana on top, fish in a orange and spinach blended sauce, hehe lots more embarrassing to write :P
