The Travelling Muffin

It's mind-blowing to think that the last time I ate a gluten
free muffin was back in December 2011, which I posted here

Since I don't have access to such delicious baking, my mom took it upon herself
to relocate one of these Victoria-born muffins all the way to Calgary via automobile

Brown Rice Banana Chocolate Chip Muffin from Green Cuisine Restaurant

Before you think I'm an obsessed muffin addict, which I am, who enslaved my
poor mother to drive all the way to Calgary just so I could eat a muffin, please know
they were actually on a road trip heading to Saskatchewan to visit my grandmother

I simply suggested they stop in to see me along the way, which
prompted my mother to ask me if I would like anything from home....

In which I replied, "Nail polish, my slippers, my backpack
and A GLUTEN FREE CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFIN FROM
GREEN CUISINE!!! ...please?" (Hey, at least I was polite!)

Gluten Free, Vegan and low in sugar

The muffin is made with brown rice flour and contains
mashed bananas blended with chunks of banana and
chocolate chips, with a little dried cane juice to sweeten

But I have to say they don't look as plump
and moist as they used to make them here

Besides that, all the same great flavours and quality
ingredients still remain. Hopefully my muffin fix will keep me
satisfied for awhile, although I may have opened a pandora's box!

Question: When you're away, what sort of foods do you
wish you could have someone send you from back home?
