Tea is Instant Wisdom - Just Add Water!

Wakeup and smell the Coffee Tea;
The Weekend is here!

Greek Yogurt Parfait: Banana, dark chocolate chips and dates on the bottom

BTW the comments you left me on my Skin Care Post were WAY TOO nice <3

Warm Taco Salad: Scrambled eggs, kale, swiss chard, spinach, red onion and mustard cuddled inside a warm tortilla :)

After lunch I got a knock on the door and...

... a mystery package!!!

The oh so lovely Lindsay @ Cotter Crunch generously sent me a box of Starbucks Tazo Green Ginger Tea after I told her that they stopped selling them here. Starbucks wants to sell only whole leaf teas, so bye bye to my favorite one...

Girl, you know the importance of good tea :) Thanks again Lindsay !!!

After savoring my hot mug of Tazo, I made a big batch of baked sweet potatoes...

My favorite spice combination of cayenne, basil and oregano

MmMm purple, orange, and yellow sweet potatoes :P

Question: What kind of Teas
 are you currently enjoying?

And just as I was about to pour another cup of coffee...tea is so much better for you, and I am about to brew my personal favorite Cinnamon and Apple spice. Your mug of potatoes made me smile (and a bit hungry). I love the unique ways you serve your food!

On Thursday I had tea for the first time since the spring, and it was just what I needed to warm up my bones. I just went for black Red Rose tea with a splash of milk. I've also been craving Earl Grey.

This post makes me so happy!! Not to mention the amazing food to go along with it!

Girl, your eats always look so delicious!

How super sweet of Lindsay! I don't drink tea much but when I do, I prefer Green Tea. Have a lovely weekend Kelsey!

mmmmhhhh.... these taters look so good - guess, I just decided what I´m going to have for dinner ;) I just recently started to drink green tea (before it was rooibos, chai, peppermint and berry tea). I found two great flavors: cappucino-almond and orange-cream, both dairy free and so delicious with all the benefits of regular green tea!!

Have a beautiful weekend love!!

That tea sounds lovely - have you ever tried ginger cordial? I'm really into that right now. Unusually for a British person, I'm not that into tea, being more a coffee person, but I do like peppermint tea every now and again.

Ah those potatoes look yummy. And your taco bowl looks pretty good too I must say. Those tortillas look yummy. Love getting a blogger package - so fun. Hope you're having a great Saturday!!

I love ginger tea! It's my favorite. Right now I have Celestial's dragon fruit melon green tea. It's really good! I can't drink it on an empty stomach though because it's part of their "wellness supplement" line and makes me feel kind of sick if my stomach is empty. It tastes good though! Their black cherry berry is good too.

those potoatoes look out of this world. I'm not really a tea drinker - more so with the cold weather!

We are finally getting to the real "tea" time of year! I have really bad circulation and my hands and feet are always cold, so when temps drop you will almost always find me with tea in hand! Recently, my mom has been sending me this loose leaf peach green tea that is just divine

I love that steam coming off your meal - great picture!

Anonymous said... [reply]

That parfait sounds delicious! I love banana + date combo.. and with chocolate? Even better! I also love the tortilla pictures--steaming hot!!!

Lately I've been enjoying this local blend of tea called "richmond blend" and also some lemon honey ginseng green tea + honey + almond milk to make it creamy :D Soooo delicious!

XOXO

p.s. not "if" we meet, but when we meet ;p It has to happen!!!

Tori said... [reply]

Woah, look at that steam! Ha, love that "cuddled" inside the tortilla. New cooking term :)

I like tea, but in the south, it's pretty standard to just get plain tea and add LOADS of sugar to it. So if you grew up here like I did, you'd be accustomed to some staggeringly sweet tea!

what a fun package and delicious eats!

OK how come your parfaits always look better than mine!! I just dont understand.

Oh yes tea - I love chocolate tea. It is weird and different, but its my fav.

Your photos are so gorgeous! Can I ask what type of camera you use?

I'm currently enjoying some 'Cold Brewed' Earl Grey - it's great tea bags that turn into iced tea in cold water. I don't know how it works, but it's pretty magical.

Your sweet potatoes look too good -- perfect for a cool almost-Fall day :)

I love regular green tea and also peppermint tea -- it feels so good on my throat and just perks me right up!

Holy potatoes! Did you eat all of those bad boys? They look delish! I love green and chai tea. All tea is actually pretty amazing! :)

Alex @ I Eat Asphalt said... [reply]

I love Tazo "Om" but I'm not sure if they sell that anymore either.

Tatianna said... [reply]

I don't drink tea at all anymore! I used to drink tons of green tea (the loose leaf stuff) but I kind of stopped because I overdid it :P Basically, I just drink black coffee in the morning (which I CAN'T live without) and water throughout the day :)

That warm tortilla mash looks absolutely incredible!! Oh my :) I MUST recreate somehow!

At the moment i'm loving plain old green tea - I can't wait till it gets a little warmer so I can have iced strawberry green tea - yum!

i love tazo tea, too...especially in the fall and winter. i like tazo's chai and awake teas.

Mmmm that stack of sweet potatoes looks DELICIOUS! I looove tea - especially pumpkin spice, chai latte, and caramel apple flavors!

Light Delight with Tou Tou said... [reply]

The tortilla looks very special ! I need to order some from Amazon too:-)
When I bake the potatoes ( especially the yam), I wouldn't take the skin off. after 1 hour at 350F, the yam becomes very soft insight with all the moistures it should have. Try it:-) I bet you will love it!

Elaine @ Om Sweet Om said... [reply]

I love Yogi Teas, especially contemplating on their little notes/quotes of wisdom on the tabs of their teabags while I sip a good cup of tea.

Your potatoes are always so colorful!

white fruit teas! So delicious :) I don't know what's better, the smell or the taste?!?!

Chelsea said... [reply]

Hehe I'm always amazed at how high you can stack your sweet potatoes. They look like they're about to topple over!

I love Celestial Seasonings English Toffee tea. It tastes like dessert! And I also love Tim Horton's pumpkin tea. They had it last fall and I really hope they have it this year too!

Hi Kelsey,

I've been reading your blog for a while and like it very much! Especially, I could relate very well to what you wrote on your "About" page, because I've also been a vegetarian for some years, and then, altough being back to eating small amounts of meat already, lingered on a diet very high in carbs and low in protein and fat for several more years. The impact on my health was incredibly bad! So I have integrated more meat and fish in my diet lately, and also cut back on sugar and grains, and felt much better immediately.

I love tea and drink a lot of it every day! I like black tea (Earl Grey, English Breakfast, and Ceylon tea) as well as a wide range of green and herbal teas (preferably peppermint and various Yogi teas).

those sweet potatoes look so good, what a great combination of spices! did you use different types of sweets, or were there regular potatoes too?
my favorite tea is one we started drinking in Europe Lipton's yellow label tea, your not supposed to be able to buy it in the US, but you can find it in Chinese Markets. I also love Yunan variety of Pu-erh, it comes in a cone you have to scrape down for the tea leaves, and has a beautiful red color, its good for all kinds of digestive issues too.

Helllo food porn! Wow, everything looks so yummy. My bf is English, so I drink more tea than I ever thought I would. We keep it simple, Tetley all the way. But he gets his sent from England.

once again, you have me drooling on my keyboard, girl! from the parfait, to the potatoes, my goodness....:)

You can find the old version of the Tazo teas at Whole Foods. They might have the green ginger.

Your sweet potatoes look sooo yummy!

Oh whoa, your taco salad is a-steaming, hehe. That looks fabulous, and I love the idea of putting dates at the bottom of your yogurt. It seems like it'd be a nice little treat at the end. :)

I am obsessed with tea and even drink around 4 cups of tea per day in summer. I like to keep things simple - my favourite is green tea.

Mmm tea. My favorite of the moment is celestial seasonings bengali spice. It has a nice warm cinnamon cardamom flavor.

I'm a plain green tea kind of chick. I've always wanted to try flavoured green tea, but I've stuck with the original.
Nice potato stack, My mum and I have been pondering the best way to cook sweet potato (not by microwaving, might I warn) so we will have to try your way soon :)
