Avocado Pear Salmon Sandwich on Black Olive Bread

Building Sandwiches, it's my new hobby. This is my newest creation I had for
Lunch today: Avocado Pear Salmon Sandwich on Black Olive Bread

We start off with 2 slices of Black Olive Bread that I posted about here

The Black Olives add such a nice and natural saltiness to the loaf

Spread some mashed Avocado on top

Add a few Spinach leaves and thin sliced Red Pear

The other side consists of Wild Pink Salmon, Red Onion, and Black Pepper

I squeezed some Brown Mustard over the Salmon, for an extra kick

I find the Brown Mustard has a bit of a smoky
taste which works great for this type of Sandwich

Now all that's left is slapping both sides together

Voila!

All the delicious layers stacked one-by-one

With a bit of the Avocado peeking through underneath

"Don't you stick your pear tongue out at me!"

Mid-noshing through my Sandwich

Question: Do you like "hidden surprises" in your bread?
(ie. Olives, dried fruit, vegetables, nuts, seeds, chocolate etc.)

This looks great!! I think i would sub the salmon for turkey, though. Is it bad that I love salmon but only in its pure, grilled or baked form? Salmon in any other way weirds me out.

Me being a genius: that doesn't look like black bread...

Uh, yeah. :D

You really got that pear sliced thinly! When I first saw the picture, I thought it was turkey deli meat. I love sandwiches...yesterday I was out of bread, so I used blueberry waffles instead. Ummmm...yeah. Not the best idea I've ever had.

My cousin made olive bread a few days ago and I snagged a piece- it was SO good! I'm normally not an olive fan, but I was all over it. It would be amazing with pears in it!

Since I found Gluten Free bread I liked, I've been obsessed with sandwiches too! I've been eating a lot of hummus, cucumber and tomato ones - delicious!

Bahaha, It looks so pretty but I hate olives and avocado.

However, if you want to make a loaf of bread with some hidden chocolate, I'm down ;)

I love little extras in my bread. My sister makes a really easy batter bread with rosemary in it that s exceptional. I like the idea of olives (one of my favorites!!) Maybe I should try that!! Thanks for the idea!!

It's not very original but I love raisin bread. The red pear must be delicious paired with the avocado. Great choice!

Kelsey!!! That's such a weird combo! But I love avocado, pear, and brown mustard, so maybe I'll try it without the salmon!

By the way, you look lovely in the videos below :)

That sandwich looks like the most delicious thing I've seen all day, and I've read a lot of blog posts!
I love to find stuff in my bread - walnuts, sun-dried tomato, herbs and dried fruit are all great.

Oh! Kelsey, how I fall in love with you mouth watering eats day in and day out.
Every now and again, i get a mean craving for Veggy Pepperjack melted under the broiler on Ezekial toast topped with strawberry jam.
Oh it's heavenly.
