Would you believe me if I told you I made a Breakfast Bagel
that tastes like Vanilla Ice Cream and a Frosted Doughnut?
Well you better believe your eyes and my Protein Flax Almond Butter spread!
Protein Flax Almond Butter
created by Snacking Squirrel
2 Tbsp vanilla whey protein
1 Tbsp raw almond butter
1 Tbsp fiber-flax seed blend
1-2 Tbsp warm water
Directions:
A. Place ingredients, except the water, in a small bowl
B. Using a spoon, slowly add the water as you mix together
C. Keep mixing until you create a thick paste with no chunks
Because I used this protein powder, the nut butter
tasted just like a frosted "vanilla ice cream" doughnut :)
High in Protein and Fiber
Spread on 1/2 toasted slice Udi's Gluten Free

Yum! What a delicious breakfast!
How cool! I need to try :)
Thanks for replying! I'm really trying, I don't know what happens with my body! I was always very skinny and this year, out of the blue, I started gaining weight, neither I nor the doctors know why that since I'm vegetarian (almost vegan) and I eat very balanced, I don't eat gluten .. It really freaks me out! It's really annoying!
Well, thanks and again, I really enjoy reading your blog!
Xoxo.
YUMMY girlie!! you always have the most nutritious&delicious recipe ideas! I loveeeee u and hope you're enjoying your weekend! xoxo!
You had me at "tastes like vanilla ice cream". ;) This looks awesome!
i would LOVE to hear more about your nutritional standards. do you eat creative items like this all day? do you eat things that move you? or do you eat based upon what fuels your body? both? i'm so curious! i could never eat items like this without crossing that old bulimic line. i am envious of you, but i am also happy that i can realise my boundaries.
So adorable!
Great photos in this post.
That bagel is cute - I love the little chocolate chips on top :-)
