Surprise Party to Surprise Package

Breakfast consisted of "Sinful" Oatmeal: Cooked oats topped with
Medjool DatesDark Chocolate Chips, Frozen Raspberries and Peanut Butter

A quick Lunch Wrap made by mashing some Kale, Eggs, Red
Onions, and Mustard together and tucking it into a Brown Rice Tortilla

And then it sort of exploded on me! Let's just say things got messy between us...

Found me some leftover Sharkies Watermelon
Scream Organic Energy Chews to snack on :)

Dinner you ask? Well, Orange and White-
fleshed Sweet Potato Oven Fries of course!

Piled up in a bowl, just like artwork, no?

Oh and I made my "Garlicky Tomato Dip" recipe to go with it

A cute little mail package was waiting for me outside by the door!

What was inside?

Oh NO NO NO my little squirrels...
you must wait until tomorrow to find out!

Feedburner said my subscriber number totally plunged as well!!! I definitely think it's a glitch!

I haven't tried using spelt flour but want to. Does it give the baked goods a noticeably different flavor?

What's in the package!! you are killing me hahaha!
I wanted this week to be wheat free to see how I felt, but today we had a food event at school and I ate finger sandwiches :( damn!!
tomorrow I'll go for it again!

Amanda @ . seek . said... [reply]

One way to measure the success of a wrap is whether or not it explodes. If it does, it means you're doing it right. If it doesn't, it means you're not packin' enough stuff in there ;)

Anonymous said... [reply]

I'm reading, pretty girl :)

Anonymous said... [reply]

I am new to your blog and love it already!

My wraps always fall apart...my trick is to throw it on the George Foreman to seal it. Messy still tastes good though, right?!

wendy @ ABCs and Garden Peas said... [reply]

Hey, what's the big idea leaving us hanging like that!?

Must be something in the air, because I've been really digging the roasted sweet taters lately too! Both orange and white.

Lindsay @ http://pancakesnpajamas.blogspot.com/ said... [reply]

Definitely a glitch! We're still here and we're still reading! :)

You're making us wait? Eviiiiiiiiiiiil! Now I know how it feels when I make everyone wait.;)

I'm sure it was a glitch for your feed.. unless you had one random person that decided to make all those random accounts just to be an asshole. Hopefully noone has that much time on their hands.

Anonymous said... [reply]

NOooooooooooooooo... You got me excited about the package and then I have to wait till tomorrow!?! Lol. Looks like... I'm going to have to wait then! It'd better be a nice surprise or else... Or else nothing really. Hehe. I'll still be reading your blog!

yum to the sweet potato oven fries! and so pretty!

wheat vs spelt. i think that most people who are truly gluten intolerant cannot handle either and are smart enough to know that spelt still has gluten, but it was nice of you to clarify for those in doubt :)

Joanne said... [reply]

My feeds dropped also (but only for a day...they are back now!) and I was seriously depressed for a bit until I realized that it would be impossible for 2/3 of my readers to decide they didn't want to read my blog anymore. That would be insanity.

Those sweet potatoes look scrumptious. I love the white ones but can never find them!

Erica said... [reply]

Hello :) mmmm those roasted sweet potatoes look awesome! I am having some with my dinner tonight- can't wait! Ow- wonder what fun package you got!

Jessie said... [reply]

So. I'll just be here. Patiently waiting. Until you post about what was in the box...

Karin said... [reply]

Oh I'm pretty sure that they don't want to read your blog anymore. KIDDING! Hello.. who would stop reading your blog???

Your oven fries do look like art indeed. Love it!

Anonymous said... [reply]

I love getting packages in the mail!! Since I started blogging I get them all the time - so fun!

Wish I liked sweet potatoes, they look great!

Christina said... [reply]

That oatmeal looks amazing!! I'm really craving chocolate covered raspberries now, even though I don't think I've ever seen them before. It just sounds like a really good combo!

Sandra said... [reply]

cute fish candy :)

Lauren said... [reply]

I didn't know that Crystal was trying to lose weight...I do think it would kind of go against what she stands for if her focus is on weight loss and not on overall health. When you focus on weight loss, it can be a slippery slope back to disordered eating. But then again, I haven't heard anything about this so I'm not going to jump to conclusions about her situation. As long as she just wants to be healthy..its all good.

I don't use google reader, so I'm not sure whats up with your subscribers...I'm sure its just a glitch though.
Can't wait to see whats in the package! xo

Anonymous said... [reply]

1. WHATS IN THE PACKAGE??? i'm dying to know!
2. oh.em.gee. breakfast? yours looks diviiiiine dahling ;)
3. lunch? oh goodness i am going to have to buy some kale. by the way, those brown rice tortillas, do you ever have good luck with them?? the only time they really work for me is when i grill them in my mini george foreman. but i can never get them to actually wrap.
4. just let me know when you're coming to vancouver and we shall meeeettt!! that will be awesome :D

Lauren @ Health on the Run said... [reply]

First of all, what's in the package?? I'm not a very patient person and I want to know! ;)

Second, did you ever figure out why your subscriber number dropped? Sometimes I just don't understand feedburner...I feel like it goes up and down all the time, without real cause. But I'm definitely still here reading, so I don't think you have to worry! :)

Ok...post again soon so we can all see your surprise. ;)
