Oh my god. Bubby bars are the BEST!

I love the new insta dri stuff by sally hansen- the best!

Yum to the muffin, fudge and stir fry!!!

I do paint my nails and like Sally Hansen products. They just came out with a nail polish "pen" that I LOVE. It offers great control while applying...

YAY for the dental appointment!!

mysocalledhealthlife said... [reply]

Yay for the Minted polish!! Do you like it on?

Christina said... [reply]

that reminds me of a china glaze nail polish i have. i love the mint colors! mine is called "refresh-mint." it makes me want easter candy!

Evelyn @ cheers2healthy said... [reply]

Girl I LOVE that color! I don't think I've seen it on anyone. I was obsessed with a color similar to that but a little more of a neon-green. VERY nice pick :D

hbobier @ Basil Vodka said... [reply]

I enjoyed that issue of Shape magazine yesterday...good stuff.

I never paint my fingernails, but my toes are usually orange! I'm diggin' that mint green though. Weirdly enough I'm now craving a mojito..

I really only paint my toenails. And I'm horribly bad about using cheap nail polish. I've recently started using Sally Hanson (did I spell that right?) and can tell the HUGE difference...

My toenails are currently a metallic lavendar color... sassy!

Lol I totally painted my nails today as an attempt to cure some boredom. It really does work, but I used a lavender/pink instead of a minted green :)

My favorite brand of polish would probably be OPI, but I have a lot of Revlon and Sally Hansen polishes as well. As for colors, I tend to stick to pinks, purples, and peaches.

Wow that muffin is awesome!!!!

Ameena said... [reply]

A winter coat in June, seriously? I thought it was blazing across most of North America??

On the rare occasion I actually drag myself to a pedicure I pick a pale pink Opi polish. Anything else just seems obnoxious on me. And my finger nails haven't seen a manicure for at least 5 years. No joke!

one day I am serioulsy making stir fry bc you ALWAYS make me want stir fry!

Yuki said... [reply]

painting my nails...i am going to the nail salon for the first time in 4 yrs tomorrow! yay!

cleanteenkelsey said... [reply]

What is that bar? It looks yum!

I don't paint my nails all that often, but when I do it's usually just whatever I have sitting around. Sally Hansen is one I like. :)

Lola said... [reply]

I love LOVE nail polish!! but I don't really care about brands hehe i love red, pink, blue, and light purple :)

maria @ Chasing the Now said... [reply]

I rarely ever paint mine because I have a bad habit of picking at the polish until it looks disgusting, but then forget to take it off for a long time. I paint my toenails sometimes, though. :)

Lovely looking eats, as always!

I confess, I usually splurge on bio-gel nails. I HATE the way nail polish always chips. I used to be obsessed with dark nail polish and I would always just paint it on myself, and within a day it was all chipped and it looked awful. With bio gel, I get a french manicure and the polish sticks to the gel so much better than an actual nail, and I just love the way they look..they last so much longer. But when I'm short on cash, I just don't polish them. Can't stand the chippage.

Hope you have a wonderful night! <3

I don't usually paint my nails because it only takes 5 seconds before they get messed up! I love the mint color though :)

Courtney (Pancakes & Postcards) said... [reply]

Dude, my internet sucks so if this posted twice I am so sorry! Just tried to say that I suck at painting my nails. Esp. bc I used to be a pretty serious rock climber so it was never worth it! Now, I paint my toes, but pretty much wait until half of it is chipped off and then repaint it with the same color. It is really horrible. I need a pedicure stat!!!

Erica said... [reply]

That muffin looks awesome. I love when muffins have a huge top. Poppyseeds are also a fabulous addition. I do paint my toes, rarely my fingers. I love love OPI.

I haven't painted my nails in years but finally did this past weekend! I figure I should try and make my feet look a little prettier since they're in sandals now! :)

Megan D said... [reply]

I want that muffinnn! And the peanutty chocolatey thing! As for nail polish, I love painting my toes hot pink for summer :)

blueeyedheart said... [reply]

Are you seriously still wearing a winter coat?! That sucks...

I like black polish!

<3 <3

Heather (Where's the Beach) said... [reply]

I typically just use a clear coat on my fingernails. But I do paint my toenails (especially for summer). Right now they are a bright red color by OPI. Love the fun name they always have!

megan said... [reply]

I never paint my fingernails, but I paint my toenails all summer. for some reason my husband loves it if I have painted toenails, isn't that funny? I always use the same color - some dark reddish/brown color from OPI that a friend gave me because she never used it. I love it :)

Cardio Pizza said... [reply]

Kim K. is always on magazine covers! I do like her though.

I usually just paint my toes and tend to sick to pinks, reds, or purples!

wendy @ ABCs and Garden Peas said... [reply]

Toes: ALWAYS either sparkly orange or muted purple.
I use a purple by OPI -- I wore it for my wedding and the birth of my son! (must have pretty toes during labor!)

Fingers: Rarely, but only a French manicure, if anything.

Laury Ann said... [reply]

Mmmmm that bar looks so tasty!

I LOVE hot pinks and soft pinks...essie and opi. My FAVORITE colors EVER is "fiji" by essie. Been wearing it for years =)

Lauren @ Health on the Run said... [reply]

Love the pictures. :)

I rarely paint my nails because a) I'm too impatient to let them dry fully before I touch anything and then they get ruined and b) even those few times where I DO exercise enough patience to let them dry...I usually end up doing something that ruins them within a few minutes. I just can't win...

I do like painting my toenails though. They're more resilient.

That muffin looks so good. I used to buy a lot of muffins to compare different bakeries, but I haven't in way too long.

I'm not one to paint my nails, though I did get a mani-pedi for the first time last month, which was fun.

aletheia said... [reply]

Dearrrrr Snacking Squirrel,

You make the BEST the BEST the BEST the BEST the BEST the BEST muffins EVAH.

I repeat: the BEST the BEST the BEST the BEST.

Again: the BEST the BEST the BEST the BEST.

That is all. Is it wrong to love someone based on their abilities to make muffins?

(If so, then I don't wanna be right!)

Love you lots,
Aletheia :-)

runrettarun said... [reply]

I'm not much of a mani/pedi (self or otherwise) anymore. I don't have time w/ my dudes all in my face and stuff :).

I still have the same polish on my toes from my sister's wedding (1 month ago.)

glambaa said... [reply]

i love the subtle sparkly-ness of nail polish, but i absolutely HATE it on my nails! for some reason i always feel like there is this heavy layer on top of my fingers and it bugs me so much it never lasts muchl onger than 5 min after it's dry haha.
kelsey every time i look at your blog and you've posted a muffin (even more so when it's gf because i know it's me-friendly :P) my mouth literally starts to water... haha does that tell you how badly i want a muffin? lol. please go enjoy an extra one for me!
a word from the wise re: wisdom tooth extraction: seriously ice your cheeks 10 mins on, 10 mins off CONSTANTLY! not only does it feel good, the swelling will not be as bad and bruising should be minimal. i thought i would look like a chipmunk for two weeks (my sister did. it was horrible! well, for her :p) but i iced all the time and i really wasn't that bad.
take care love :)

Katie ♥ said... [reply]

I dont ever wear nail polish, her and there I do!! I LOVE that color!!! Hmmmmmmmmm might have to get it!

Hope you had a good day!!!!

Muah!!!!!!!

You always choose the most delicious looking muffins!

I haven't painted my nails a color in a while. I've been painting them clear. I hate when colors chip!

Joanne said... [reply]

Why don't I have muffins like that OR a bar of fudge sitting in my apartment?!?!? Woe. Is. Me.

I don't paint my nails but they are super long!

Samantha said... [reply]

I rarely paint my own nails because I do a really sloppy job =)

Your wraps always look to die for!

Ooh loving that blown-out top of the muffin! I love muffin tops, that's the best part.

I don't usually paint my nails...I'm just too lazy! And I always chip my nails anyway. ;-)

hey lady, I'm sorry I am so behind on the posts! It's been quite the busy week...the eats look great. That Green Cuisine place sounds like my kinda hang out...your muffin looks and sounds amazing.

As far as nail polish goes...I am kind of addicted. It started in my middle school years when I lived in Cali and painted my nails a few days a week...how ridiculous! Now I use all natural brands like rgb and priti. Here are the links:

http://www.rgbcosmetics.com/

http://pritinyc.3dcartstores.com/PRITI_c_1.html

color-wise...I love
Priti-bluestar (kinda like your color but a lil more blue!)
Priti-Tom Thumb (a coral like color)
Priti-Ballerina Peony (the perfect pink...)

RGB-Haze (a smokey violet)
RGB-Crimson (blood red)
RGB-Oxblood (dark red)
RGB-Steel (industrial grey)

I hope I didn't overwhelm ya but thought ya might have some fun exploring!

enjoy!

Hm! I love your lunch idea... I'd totally wrap it in romaine lettuce!

Oh and I don't paint my finger nails and I generally get pedicures because I love when people rub my feet! ha ha!
