Baiting Bambi

Breakfast this morning was a yummy Grilled

There's some red onion in there too, all grilled up nicely on the George Foreman Grill

Money Shot :)

As soon as I was finished eating, I saw a furry creature in my backyard...

But no, the bowl of sliced apples wasn't for me...

It was for Bambi!

My little deer friend was super shy, unlike this guy you may remember!

He/she definitely wasn't shy about his/her love for organic gala apples though :)

This last photo is my favorite haha, don't you just wanna cuddle it to pieces!!!

so cute!! I want a bambi too (:
The wrap looks so yummy- your food always looks great. I baked your muffins last night! I didn't have chocolate chips though, so I subbed half coconut and half caramel bits. They were awesome! I can't believe there was no oil or butter in there! Thanks so much for that recipe and I'll let you know when I post it!

lol You're brave!!!!

Ever since some vicious deer attacks (people, dogs, etc . . .) in my neck of the woods I no longer approach bambi or his friends. But they're still awfully cute! :)

Awww, I love the pictures of the deer! I still can't believe they get so close to you.

Your wrap looks amazing.

Awwww amazing! I wish
1. we had a backyard
2. it was frequented by deer

I remember seeing so many deer when we used to go hiking in Banff and Jasper National Parks...twas lovely. The young ones are so gangly but still elegant.

And that wrap looks divine...money shot indeed!

Adorable! Way more friendly that the occasional deer we'd see back at my parent's house...

What a darling animal! I used to try and feed the deer that would go into my Grandparents yard. They discourage this, though, because the deer would eat their roses!

AHHH! SO CUTE!! I want it. :) We only get elk in my yard and I think if I tried to bait the herd with some apples they would attack me. Or not. But they're slightly intimidating. ;)

SO CUTE!! The house I grew up in was right down the street from a park with a massive forest. We used to get deer in the backyard all the time. It was awesome. The forest is gone now. Its kind of heartbreaking.

Oh my gosh, these pictures made my day! Even though I've seen a million deer in my lifetime and they would frequently visit my home in the past, I find they pictures to be wonderful! It really captures the deers personality, and it makes me look at them in a different way (good). I'm shocked at how giddy those pictures made me feel. Like a little kid. Thanks!

Awww, cute little deer! I'll bet he/she loved the crunchy apples (and those apples gave you some adorable shots!).

Love the grilled wrap - doesn't the George Foreman make any sandwich taste so good? :)

I still am amazed at the friendliness of your little dear pals! The deers that live by me run away if you even look at it!

Ah, so cute! There deer here where I love would NEVER get that close to you!

That wrap looks so tasty too! Starbucks made me a good one once, but yours is probably a zillion times more healthy!

You mastered the egg and spinach wrap...if I recall, last time there were some issues.
Cheese and spinach is such a great combo.
I often replicate the action with nooch..I am sensitive with dairy these days...by the way I got your package! Can't wait to write about it soon.

so cute!
my mom is always complaining about the deer eating her plants, but then she goes and feeds them leftovers!

Who was that skunk from bambii??? i sure dont want him around! lol!
Bambii annoyed me a little, i liked thumper...mainly because when I was little, couldn't say, "th" and said "humper"!

So jealous of the wild life in your backyard. We usually just get squirrels, racoons, birds, and the odd coyote. Although, there have been bears in our neighbourhood before, even in our neighbour's yard.

Krista said... [reply]

I LOVE when you post baby deer in your backyard! How amazing! We get the odd bunny and lots of squirrels, but no deer...
