VEGA Sport Bars and Blood Work

I'm a huge fan of Brendan Brazier and the whole line of VEGA products. I've tried
them all, the Whole Food Smoothies and Smoothie Infusions being my favourite

After buying these new VEGA SPORT Workout Powder Drink Mixes, I
found out they carry a new line of VEGA SPORT Energy and Protein Bars too!

VEGA SPORT Chocolate Saviseed Protein Bar. I bought the
one labeled Recover, the other choices are Prepare and Sustain

Gluten-free and 15 grams of protein

Ingredients

I love the taste of these! They are not very sweet which is a great plus because
they don't alter your blood sugar levels like some of the other bars tend to do

I also went to the lab to get my routine blood work done

Yes, both arms got poked and bandaged... one of my
veins obviously wasn't feeling generous this morning

Lunch began with a Brown Rice Tortilla

With Cream Cheese

Topped with Lettuce, Tomato, Cucumber and Red Onion

And shredded Turkey Breast slices

And finally, a squeeze of Yellow Mustard

With a pinch ground Black Pepper to finish it off

Question: When was the last
time you had blood work done?

I absolutely love both that bar and the Vega Smoothie infusions (well, the chocolate one, typically). They're so expensive though! Plus, you have to order them online over here. Such a shame - I could eat the Saviseed bar 3x or more a day ;)

I get blood work done monthly. Yay?

I am a HUGE fan of Vega products! My favorite are the vega bars and mango smoothie! Trying to eat a more plant-based diet was really hard until I found these products. They are great for falling back on in a pinch :)

Ugh - I despise getting blood work done. I had it done a couple weeks ago and I hate how it makes me feel afterwards. It's probably because I tense up when they do it though!

UGH, it's been awhile for me. I know I need to get a colonoscopy too, but I've put that off too. I'm two years behind as of this Christmas. I just really don't want to do it right now.

I've never tried the Vega products, but I want to. I need to get to that too!

I'm not a big fan of bars, as they typically don't do my stomach much justice. Speaking of stomachs, I'll be getting blood work done soon to find out if I can't eat gluten. UGH. I hope I don't learn that I have to go gluten free, for good.
The refried bean and turkey wrap looks wonderful! Refried beans are one of my favorite canned goods.

i haven't had blood work done since childhood! i'm too scared of a "bad" result. although my medical insurance covers lots of testing, i just refuse to have it done. i'm scared, not because i think something is wrong, but because if something is wrong, i will freak out. x

i am glad that one of us is brave.

mmm, that choco-covered Vega bar looks SO good! I love the fact that they're not sweet - I'm a big fan of non-sweet bars.

Poor you and your arms! The last time I had to get bloodwork was last year sometime - I think? Good thing I keep track ;)

I have picked those bars up and put them down 7 or 8 times now, haha. I keep wanting to try them but then being too afraid to spend $3 on something I know I won't like (if mixing Vega smoothie powder with water, as per the instructions is any indication! I need them heavily sugared up with lots of fruit, haha).

When I ordered a couple of the VEGA shake and go's last week they included the chocoalte savi seed samples in my order. They ARE delicious, aren't they? They reminded me of crunch bars. Remember those? My gosh. So good!

I have never tried the VEGA brand products but have heard a lot about them... I got my blood drawn last week for an allergy test. I am getting tested on 96 foods! Hopefully they will find out what is going on with me so I can start to heal properly. cheers :)

Aaah, I had one blood work when the medical assistant didn't find my vein and kept stirring with the neelde within my arm for 10 minutes or so. Major bruise!
