Sidney Health Fair

Sidney Health Fair 2010

Basically there were two sections, inside and outside. The inside had demos,
samples, workshops, exhibitors, etc. The outside had local farmers and producers

So like any mature adult, I made a mad dash for the
samples, because it's "Health Food Halloween" people!

This was really cool, HoneyPro is a Maca infused honey spread
It had the texture of soy butter or margarine, not at all liquified

Lorna Vanderhaeghe: Smart Solutions for Women

The guy behind the table totally thought I was strange for grabbing the
MenoTea! Hey, I'll take anything that's got "FREE" written all over it :)

...come follow me to some raw chocolate!!!

Planet Love raw chocolate bars, granolas, dried fruits, powders,
superfoods, fermented vegetables, crackers, nuts, seeds, herbs,
Eco housewares and supplies, bed and bath, the whole kit and kaboodle...

Raw Chocolate

Goji Berries, Incan Berries, and Cacao Nibs

I was so amazed at the creaminess of these fair trade organic
raw chocolate bars from Planet Love. The price was great @ 2
for $7.00 considering they're made with pure and wholesome
ingredients. I had to snatch up two of my own... and because
I love anything crispy, I got the Coconut Crisp and Chocolate

Saw some Smashin Fashin organic and hemp clothing...

They had a lot of cute knits and fabrics

NoNuttin' Bars, Granolas, and Trail Mix samples and
Nature's Path Flax Plus Granola and Whole O's Cereal samples

Montmorency Tart Cherry Concentrate

Had to take a picture of these digestive enzyme supplements
by Enzymedica. There was seriously one for every ailment!!!

I'm going to pick up the 'GlutenEase' to try soon, I wonder if it will have any
effect. That would be the best if it works.. or at least lessens symptoms!!!

Definitely important to visit some beauty booths...

While yours truly gets a makeover :)

Getting my makeup done at Arbonne International. It was
a tad awkward with a few 'people watchers' standing by tho

Before leaving I made sure to head outside to the local farmers stands. Red Barn Market
is my favorite on the island. They're focused on sourcing out wild meats and local foods

Lot's of great produce and all the grocery products I love!

Gluten Free White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies. I went crazy when I saw
Portofino Bakery carrying a whole new line of gluten free breads and cookies!

Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

Gluten Free Cheese & Onion Bread

Gluten Free Brown Bread and Gluten Free Seeded Bread

Both of these were delicious, especially the White Chocolate Macadamia Cookies.
I'm sorry to the other companies I love, but these cookies are at the top of the
food chain. There's no way anyone would have guessed they were gluten-free

Naturally-raised Deli Meats, Sausage, and Cheese

My healthy "trick-or-treat" bag

The swelling in my cheeks is looking better. Can you see the
left side (my right) is larger than the other. My mom was
calling me potato head... in the most loving way possible ;)

:'(

I'm shedding about a million imaginary tears right now because that health fair looks like it was awesome. I want free goodies!

For having swollen cheeks (which I totally can't see) you look quite pretty. Something that isn't pretty? Me with swollen cheeks. Since I have a round face already, when I had my wisdom teeth out it wasn't pleasant. My nickname was Chipmunk. -.-

That looks like such a fun fair! Gotta love free samples! I love that you got a makeover, thats too cute.
Let us know if the Gluten enzyme supplement helps..I would be very interested because I'm quite a mess lately too. Swollen cheeks and all...and a whole lotta pain. Not just from gluten though. Anyway, anything that could possibly help would be great news for me.
Glad you had a fun day!
