Bacon, Eggs and Toast

Here's a new feature to Snacking Squirrel: Bacon!

I've been eating more traditional-styled breakfasts while staying in Sicamous,
whereas I'm normally partial to sweeter breakfast options like parfaits and muffins

But bacon, eggs, and toast are much more filling and
energizing, and optimal for the cooler winter weather

2 sunny-side eggs with salt and pepper, a few
strips of crispy bacon, and 2 slices of buttered toast

Questions: Are you a bacon fan? What is your
favourite way to eat it, or best foods to pair it with?

I love bacon. I am a big fan of turkey bacon. I could eat it morning, noon and night. I like bacon and pancakes so I can dipped the bacon in the syrup.

I am more than a fan. I put bacon in cookies, cupcakes, pancakes, etc..

Mmmm, bacon. There are no foods that don't go with bacon. It works with both savoury and sweet. it's basically amazing.

Happy New Year!
It's been a while since I last visited your blog - approx. 1 year (I've been reading it to catch up for the past few days) and it is truly amazing how much changes in a year. I love reading your blog, and the bacon looks amazing by the way. How did you get it so perfectly crisp?

I love using a strip of bacon in my homemade soups - It goes in ALL of them!

Yep, this looks like an AMAZING way to start the day. Like you, I'm a big fan of sweeter breakfasts, but I simply cannot get enough bacon... or fried eggs. Good choice!

Mmm... that looks like an amazing meal. I love bacon sandwiches, but one of my favourites is crumbled up on top of risotto (weird, I know...)

I usually have a very light breakfast and eat more later in the day. My boyfriend makes really heavy egg/bacon/pancake/sandwich dishes on weekends for us and I agree that they really are filling and so delicious :D
